When someone means something to you.... You want to help them, no matter what. They are your friends. And you do. You help as much as you can until you can help them no more. And now you remember why. After you made them smile in their sadness. After you helped them to see the light in their period of darkness. After you gave them hope in their times of despair. After you saw the seeds of warmth and joy you have sown bloom and flourish into a vibrant flower, you remember. That joy will seek you out and give you hope like candle lights in darkened rooms. You remember that in helping others, you help yourself.

When someone means something to you.... You try with all your strength to help them. You love them with all your heart and more, but they turn away. And how you sacrifice and try to make things right, will anyone ever notice? But you know they know. They know deep down that you care, and they care for you too. They care so much that they try not to burden you, because they notice. You mean the world to them, just as much as they to you.

When someone means something to you... Their actions hurt you most. They ignore your help and turn away. They tell you to go away. But you know? Them telling you to go away is actually them saying show me that you care enough to stay. And so you go back to them. You stick with them through it all, thick, thin and nothin. Through sunshine and rain, and you show them how much you truly love and care for them. And you make their day. You give them that special joy that only you could give.

And now you've done it. You gave joy to those who had none. You brought comfort and hope to other's lives. You found yourself searching for some answers in a world that answers none of them at all... But you answered yourself, choosing to be happy. It's a choice, it's always been. You felt like drowning. Drowning in a sea of conflicted emotions. Your own self pity and remorse chained you to the bottom of the ocean of uncertainty and sadness. You imprisoned yourself. But you could be free. You were always free. You only needed to let go, to choose to be happy for others, to remember to breathe.
