Cyrus POV:
After I slept over at TJ's, we decided to go to The Spoon for breakfast. As we walked down the path, TJ smiled, 'I already know what I'm captioning the Polaroid I'm going to take here,'
'That would be?'
'You'll have to see,' he grinned cheekily as I playfully punched him on the arm.
We sat down at a table and ordered some pancakes as well as milkshakes (fight me, I can have milkshakes whenever I Please) The sun was brightly shining through the window and TJ took the opportunity. He centred his milkshake and mine, taking the photo and shaking it so it would develop. He sat back down and started eating his pancakes.
'We're going to win!' He said excitedly.
I was confused, 'Win what?'
He slouched in his seat, looking at me in disbelief, 'Best project?'
'It's a competition?' I asked, not remembering Miss Pillar saying that, then again, I did zone out.
TJ looked to the side, 'Well...not officially but I'm a very competitive person,'
I raised an eyebrow, 'Is that so?'
He nodded, 'You should see me and Reed at Mario kart, I threw the controller at him once and I accidentally broke his nose. Blood was literally everywhere he was crying too, I was very concerned but he was laughing at the same time which confused me,'
My eyes widened in bewilderment, 'Oh...that sounds...fun?'
He laughed at me being uncomfortable, taking out the black pen from his pocket and writing the caption at the bottom of the Polaroid.
Breakfast at Tiffany's
12th May 2019'Wow,' I said sarcastically, 'What a great caption,'
He kicked my leg lightly under the table, 'Hey! You haven't come up with any!'
I shrugged, 'I could if you let me,'
'The next one,' he smiled.
I couldn't help but smile back at him. We finished up our breakfast and TJ suggested, 'I was thinking we could go to Adrenaline City today?'
I nodded, 'Of course! But uhhh...not the scary rides.
He laughed, ruffling my hair, 'Alright, let's go,'
I felt my heart pounding in my chest as we left The Spoon. He touched my hair. TJ Kippen touched my hair. Was I offended? Did I like it? My emotions were a confused mess as we walked to Adrenaline city which was not too far from here. God I'm being weird...why am I being weird? I looked up at TJ. He was...actually really- woah wait what. I scared myself as my heart pounded louder, I stopped walking 'Actually...I don't feel like Adrenaline city today,' I frowned, I needed to figure this out.
He stopped walking also, 'Oh that's ok, what do you want to do?'
'Can we go to the swings?' I asked.
'Yeah sure,'
We turned around and walked back to the park. When the swings were within sight, I ran over, immediately feeling relieved. TJ sat on the swing next to me, pulling out his phone. 'Fuck,' he whispered.
I smacked his arm, 'language!'
He looked amused before continuing to get annoyed at whatever was on his phone. I pulled out mine, going onto Instapic which is where I assumed he was. The first photo on my feed made me almost cry with laughter as I giggled. TJ looked up and his mouth fell open, 'Oh no, you saw didn't you?'
