Hero's POV

"And that's it for today! Hero, Jo, great job see you both tomorrow morning."

The camera crew begin to dismantle everything after Roger's final call. I follow behind Jo and her stylist Ellen as we head back to the dressing room. I yawn, pulling out my phone to check the time.

"23:47" I sigh. I continue to set my alarm for tomorrow morning, giving enough time for costume and makeup.

A combination of a crack of thunder and Jo squealing makes my head snap up from my phone. She has her hand clutched to Ellen's arm, holding on for dear life.

"You alright?" I laugh.

She glares at me and I instantly stop laughing.

"Thunder. I hate thunder remember?"

I mentally slap myself. How could I forget, any sign of bad weather the last time we were filming and she would freak out asking if there was a thunderstorm forecast. I try imagine how much she would freak out if she lived in London. We get bad weather nearly everyday.

"I hope you two brought umbrellas or else you'll get soaked on the way back to your trailers"

As I zone out Jo begins lecturing Ellen on how you should never hold an umbrella in a thunderstorm. This year they put my trailer next to Jo's. Like not even just beside my trailer, no our trailers are joined. The walls in those things are so thin, I wont even be able to move around without her hearing, never mind getting to.. you know.

After changing back into my own clothes and grabbing my hoodie, I head towards the trailer park. It was pitch black out, the only light I could see was coming from behind the curtains in Shane's trailer.

I stop under the porch, pull up my hood and begin to fast walk to my trailer. It was hard to hear anything over the rain and thunder but the unmistakable sound of small feet running across wet tarmac fills my ears. I turn to see a bright yellow blur fly past me.

Jo stands in front of her door, bouncing from one foot to the other as she fiddles with her keys. Just as I reach my door, a flash of lightening lights up the trailer park, causing Jo to drop her keys under the steps.

"Goddammit" she shouts, bending down looking under the steps.

I quickly turn my torch on and bend down beside her. I spot her keys, grab them and hand them to her. She reaches for my hand to take them, looks up at me, her hair wet and stuck to her face, cheeks a perfect shade of pink and purple from the cold.

"Thank you." She smiles, another flash of lightening illuminating her face.

She's still holding onto my hand, and it's only now I acknowledge how close we are.

It's the first day of shooting snap out of it! I scold myself. You don't want to make shit awkward again!

I pull my hand back.

"No problem. Goodnight." I turn and head up my steps and into my trailer. I shut my door and sit on my bed. I hear Jo running around in her trailer beside me cursing the weather. I reach for my earphones, scroll through my Spotify playlists until I find the one I need to hear right now.

"Songs she likes <3"

I thought it would be easier this time round, but some feelings never change.
