If you were anticipating this chapter then I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting. I'm not the type of writer that publishes chapters at a regular pace. If time is on my side, then I shall finish up the chapter. My creative juices come and go, just to let you know.
Anyways, enjoy chapter 2!!
ANYA'S P.O.V.
Thank God for breaks.
I don't think I could've handled my classes with such low energy. The coffee couldn't help keep my open eyes. Maybe I should switch for something better. Oh well, the life of a student.
The others text me to meet them at The Lilac, a restaurant five minutes away from the school.
"Anya!" a voice calls out to me. I turn around to see Tessa running towards me.
"Hey Tess!" we embrace each other as if we haven't seen each other for years. In a way, it was like that.
"Woah, this is a surprise"
"What do you mean?"
"You were M.I.A. yesterday, it got the others worried and curious."
"Oh, sorry about that, I was caught up in a few things and had to take care of them." She sincerely apologized.
"Don't worry, I'm totally free."
"Do tell the others that though, they're still a little confused."
"I will" feeling assured we head to my car and drive down to The Lilac.
When we enter, the restaurant had a warm and friendly atmosphere. In the corner booth were the girls, talking about who knows what.
"Anya! Tessa! Over here!'
"Hey guys, sorry for the weird absence and all" Tessa greets the others apologetically.
"Where have you been?" Kate questions her . We take our seats and Kate keeps her eye on Tessa. Geez, talk about tense.
"First day was weird without you" I say to break the tension.
"I know. I'm really, really, really sorry about that."
"Apology accepted. Now let's order, I'm starving!"

BELLE'S P.O.V.
"Class dismissed" I've been waiting for those two magical words for an hour!"The Lilac is a great place for rewarding ourselves don't you think?" Nicole says as we joyfully head out of the classroom.
"It is. I just hope that Kate doesn't get all tense next time."
"Yeah, I guess she feels unsatisfied with Tess's explanation." She was probably right.
Kate was after all Ms. Private Eye. When she wants an answer, she'll do what it takes to find it out.
"Hey you two! I've got something you'd like" a bubbly Holly appears right before us. Holly was one of Tiffany's friends and personal assistant (sort of).
"What is it?" Nicole puts her best smile on.
"I've got two gold keys for the upcoming party!" She hands out two keys with a tag attached to it.
We both couldn't believe it. No one reaches out to us for any party. Like ever.
"Thanks Holly, we'll definitely be there." She smiles and leaves for her next target.
"Are you going?" I ask Nic. She's not much of a party girl but I believe anything can happen.
"Umm...maybe?"
"Is this happening? Nicole the good girl is actually considering a party invitation?"
"Shut up Belle" she chuckles and we continue on to the courtyard.
"Well we are in college, so why not give it a thought?"
"Omg, this like a Christmas miracle!" Nic glares at me and I just pass it off.
"Hey, I've got to go. Tess is looking for me."
"It's alright. I'm gonna head back to the dorms. See you later."
TESSA'S P.O.V.
"You think Tiffany is going to throw a party soon?" I ask Nicole as we head up to the study hall.
"Why wouldn't she have one?" she replies sarcastically. Tiffany Harper was a popular girl in the entire campus. Every year, around the first month back to school, she throws a big welcome back party. Think of a Gatsby like party except it's less extravagant.
"Well, she does throw one every year since she was a freshman. I heard her sister is lending a hand. This is Tiffany's last party since she graduating this year."
The study hall wasn't as crowded as usual. It was pleasant sight to see compared to it's crowded moments during midterms and finals.
"We're lucky today. The booths are free. I miss their comfy seats!" Nicole runs to the corner booth claiming it as her own. It was like seeing a kid run towards their favorite toy in the store.
Once we get settled in, she puts on her headphones and works on a few papers. She says she's in 'the zone' when this happens. Whatever works for her, works for her.
I finished my work earlier so I just surf the net and check out a few sites.
I open a few accounts - Facebook, Twitter, etc.- and discover a few messages.
Hey. Got no class?
Looks like someone's online. Thank God for free wifi and a long free period.
Me: Hello to you too. I'm free for now.
Him: You think we could meet later?
Me: I can't. Hanging out with my friend of mine right now. She might find it weird if I mysteriously disappear again.
Him: Alright, fine. Maybe I'll see you at the party this weekend.
Me: Tiffany Harper's?
Him: The one and only party girl. Hahaha.
Me: Fine by me. But remember, they can't see us together.
"Excuse me, your Tessa, right?" Holly whispers to me.
I look up to see Holly, enthusiastic as ever.
"Um, I am."
"Good! I've got a key for you, see you at the party!" She then walks, no skips away to the exit.
"Umm okay, that was fast."
"I know right! She gave me one a while ago."
I give a her look that says- " you're going? As in for sureness of the surest?"
"Oh not you too, I told Belle I would think about it." She dives back into her notes and I go back to my own thing.
Looks like I'll be in good company this weekend.
