-Just as I was about to take my shoes, off on the rooftop there I see, a girl with braided here before me, despite myself I go and scream.
Kirishima leaned against the railing of the stairs, releasing a sigh. He made his way up the stairs until after what seemed like hours later, he reached the door to the roof. He hesitated for a moment, before twisting it, swinging the door open to reveal a sun setting sky. Cold breeze hit his face without any mercy, swaying his shoulder-length red hair. He rubbed his face, before stepping out and onto the roof pavement. He didn't spare a glance around, and shut the door behind him carefully.
Kirishima leaned against the school walls for support as he slid his right croc off, his eyes trailing upwards to look at the railing of the roof. He paused, as he felt his breath leave his throat. There, sitting on the fences was a silhouette, their face shadowed from the sunset on the other side of the roof.
Kirishima took a moment to compose himself before he quickly slipped his croc back on to cover up his initial plans, and raced over to the silhouette. As soon as he was close enough, he squinted to try make out who this person was. He could see U.A uniform, short, puffy brown hair which was partly braided onto it's side, as if a child had been playing with the person, who he had guessed was a girl's hair.
The girl with braided hair's wavy locks slightly moved in the hair, and Kirishima paused for a moment. In the slight movement of hesitation, the girl slid off of the railing and into a standing position, on the unsafe side of the railing. She could jump, if she wanted to. Did she want to? As if to confirm Kirishima's questions, she held her arms wide as she took a shaky breath, and Kirishima froze as he heard an ugly sob come from the girl's mouth.
Kirishima, in an act of heroism, threw himself to the bars next to the girl and leaned over the edge, trying to make eye contact. His eyes were wide with panic, and he head was aching with a terrible case of déjà vu. He wanted to speak, and opened his mouth to, but stopped himself after the girl jumped and swiftly turned her head to look at Kirishima.
In a long moment of eye contact, Kirishima recognized the girl who had braids in her hair. She had pink round cheeks, and beautiful, brown circular eyes, a slight blush of embarrassment creeping up on her cheeks. After a long pause, she flicked her eyes downwards to look at the gate Kirishima was leaning over, before she sniffled and wiped her eyes furiously. Kirishima suddenly felt a wave of pity for the girl.
''Kirishima,'' she greeted, her voice cracking. ''I'm sorry, I'm such a mess-'' she begun, only to cut herself off as another ugly sob left her mouth. She broke out into a wave of wails and Kirishima wanted to pull her into a tight hug, but didn't know if it would be a great idea in her condition. Kirishima went to comfort her, only to realize she was about to jump, bending her legs to launch herself forwards.
Kirishima instinctively reached out for her, tugging her backwards by her jacket. Uraraka turned quickly, her glassy eyes full of shock. Again, they made eye contact and only now could Kirishima see the hurt in her eyes. His own eyes were wide in shock and horror, and he rushed the first words of comfort he could think of in the moment.
''Hey, don't do it, please!''
