High School Detectives

Chapter 6

Zack and I walked in the vacant room where we were supposed to meet in 10 minutes. Mari, Rose and Paul was there looking confused and shaky.

"Do you know why we called you here?" Ax said seriously

"Uhh.. you want to play Truth or Dare?" Mari asked

"We're from a super secret agency." Alodia said and she showed the three suspects a fake ID of some secret government agency.

"What does that have to do with us?" Rose said almost at the peak of raising her voice.

"We're here to investigate the murder of George Castwell." Alodia said

"We didn't do anything!" Rose screamed.

"Hmm, We haven't asked questions yet and why are you referring to yourself as a 'WE'?" Alodia said and smiled mischievously.

"I.. uhh... It's.." Rose said or more like couldn't say.

Mr.President .. I meant James walked in the room with a notepad and 2 ED Agency officers ready to arrest the killer.

"Who is it? What's the verdict?" James said

"It's Rose and Paul." Me and Zack said confidently.

"What?!? How can you say that? You have no proof!!" Rose pointed at us while Paul just kept a stoic face.

Zack and I simultaneously pulled out our phones and I played my record of Paul first.

Ayessa's record:

'He.. he was my bestfriend but he took Hess away from me! He knew how much I loved Hess! He's a bastard, a traitor he's a thief! He deserved to die!'

'What do you mean?'

'Rose and I teamed up for revenge. We killed George.'

'Why would you do that? Why would you team up with Rose?' 

'Rose wanted George for himself and I wanted Hess for myself. It's a mutual understanding.'

Zack's record:

'Everything is going as planned you know.'

'What do you mean?'

'I teamed up with Paul or more like USED him. He's too blinded by his affection with Hess so he teamed up with me but little did he know that I'm planning to kill Hess afterwards and he would say hello to the police.'

'What did you do?'

'We killed George. It was hard to do at first but I thought about it and I did it anyways.'

We saw Rose and Paul's face go pale.

"How do we know that Mari is not also their acquaintance?" James asked

"I knew you would ask that so I thought forward and spent the remaining 10 minutes to confirm our suspicion with Paul and Rose." I replied, "I asked her questions about George and she thought that he died in a car accident because that's what Hess told her."

"How are you sure they're telling the truth?" James asked

'They're under the truth serum that Zack borrowed with the Medeis.' I said to their minds.

"Rose Reneer' and Paul Wilson. You are under arrest under murder and attempted murder." James said and he motioned the 2 officers to cuff them.

They tried resisting but to no avail.

"You guys did great! I never thought that Paul and Rose would do that! How can I repay you?" Hess said while enveloping us in a group hug.

"No need." Les said.

"No, I insist. You know what, you can keep the whole outfit you're wearing today. It will be the only thing I can offer and maybe an 'Enjoy the rest of your night in this party if you're not busy' message." Hess said and we all chuckled

We enjoyed the rest of the night and danced to the party. 

We got drunk but the good thing is that James left one of the officers to drive us back to the agency. Alodia protested and said that we would just go through one of my Space Dimensions but James said it was too risky since I was a beginner and I was drunk so I might accidentally send us to Mars.
