Chapter 8

After a week of enjoyable classes, Saturday finally came!! Yessss.. I can't believe that I'm gonna enjoy Scary Saturday! Yep, that's what me and PS calls it. As usual, we would go to James' office and to the ED Agency and pick up a case but this case was more special than the rest because James let us use our abilities! Psyche!!!!

We were assigned with a case of suicide so we went to the victim's house. It was a three story house and the body was found at the second floor.The victim was named Tom Sanders. We were told that the body was found with a gun and recorder on it's side. When they gave us the recorder we listened to it

'I'm sick and tired of this cruel world so I decided to end my misery.' then we heard a gunshot.

After a few moments Ax spoke up

"This case is not a suicide case." Ax said seriously

"What? What do you mean? The ED Agency gave this case to us and told us it was suicide, The ED Agency won't mess up the case files." Alodia answered

"It was not suicide." Ax said determined

"Uhuhm? Why is it not?" Alodia said

"When we listened to the record we heard the man speak and then the gunshot then the record stopped." Ax said and we nodded, "If we were so sure that it was suicide then who would press 'stop' on the record? clearly it was not because when the body fell it accidentally pressed the stop button because the voice recorder was found 5 inches away from the body."

"Meaning, the murderer disguised it as the voice recorder fell as his body grew limp but he missed one detail..The record stopped." Ax continued and our eyes widened at the sudden struck of realization.

"So, this case is murder?" Xander asked and Ax nodded.

"Ask Aki, I'm sure he knows." Ax said and we all turned our heads to Aki and he just nodded.

"He knew way before I knew." Ax added

"How?" PS asked

"This is a three story house. The body was found at the second floor. We came here an hour after the incident and I also examined all the rooms and the third floor was just an empty space. Nothing in it at all just dirt and dusts." Aki said and we nodded

"I also saw a window open. If this was a case about a suicide jump then I'd think that the victim jumped from there but that is not the case plus I also saw footprints. So when I was on my way down here, I already knew that this was not suicide and then as I walked inside Ax already knew that this was not suicide." he finished and that might be the longest that I'll ever hear him say.

"Have you tried your ability on the voice recorder?" I asked Alodia and she nodded.

"Yeah, but unfortunately the victim was the one showed on my mind. I guess it's because it can only show whoever was holding it last. But the voice record was exactly 6 seconds long and the gunshot was fired at exactly 2:00."

"That's weird.. Exactly 2 o'clock." Les said.

"Let's investigate some more and after 30 minutes we come back here and show whatever we got." Ax said and we all nodded.

We all tried our best to find clues and we were really happy about the result we got after 30 minutes

"So..What did you guys get?" Zack asked

"I found this.." I showed them a picture I took from the third floor about some code written on the far corner of the room.

12,1,18,3 

"12, 1 , 18 and 3. What could that mean?" Zack asked and I shrugged.

"I found this.." then PS showed us a bunch of papers with a number 2 with a dot underneath it so it's like a question mark mixed with a number 2.(A/N the logo is on the media! Feast your eyes on it!)
