No! The answer is no! Do I ask you if I can touch your eyes? No because I already know the answer! It took minutes, hours, days to dry. I spend a whole 45 minutes to fix it and YOU, YOU try to touch it? Incredible! When I was young I use hate it but now look at it, it is beautiful. So no you don't get to touch it! Do you ask at the museum if you can touch the Mona Lisa? No, because it is precious. So is my hair!
Years of growing and moisturizing shall not be wasted by your filthy hands. Years of washing and loving shall not be wasted by your filthy hands. Years of caring and combing shall not be wasted by your filthy hands.
How disrespectful is it to touch someone so intimately? I mean how dare you ask if you can touch MY hair. Just like Mohamed Ali fought until the last round, I will fight for my rights of not being touch until the end. Martin Luther King once said he had a dream. My dream is a world where we would be free from loose hands, my dream is a world where every black person wouldn't have to answer this stupid question: is it your real hair? can I touch it ? My dream is to live an a world where all little brown girl would be save from white women saying: I wish I had your hair. They are the same one who would call it unprofessional.
