The Ocean Peace

As the tide carried me away from the white sandy beach and into the slow calm blue ocean my heart lightened. Away from the humans and one with the ocean I thought.

After a century, I smiled as nothing was in sight but the nature and it's underwater beauty. I often let the tides carry me this far just for the quietness and peace it gave me.

It felt like I was home, I felt good and pure with a tiny bit of peace. All the worries of my daily life had left me. I felt safe. Too bad I forgot the ocean while I was away.

While I was intoxicated by the silenced surrounding and dreaming of rainbows and happy ever after's little did I know the great white shark of the deepest ocean circled beneath me, eyeing me as it's next lunch meal.

A sharp sensation in my upper left thigh brought me back into the world, I saw the Jaws ripping my muscles off, I saw the blue around me turn red. My heart screaming while my mouth too shocked to move. Let a miracle happen I prayed but my mind replied you never believed in them. I saw the peach white bone crack as a bolt of pain ran up my spine. My eyes dwelled around hoping for a boat or another human to be around but I was too far out for anyone but a mermaid to reach. The shark still gripped onto my leg as I punched it with my arms to get free. Soon I realized there were three others as I lost all my limbs to them.

Closed my eyes as if to recall my life, pitch black darkness with nothing in sight, guess that was a lie. A smile still crossed my face for one last time as I remembered I'm now on the express way to the kingdom of Hell.
