Hayley and I walked home from school together. Today was pretty boring, we didn't really do much, other than get on the teachers' nerves. As always. We sorta cause a lot of trouble in class.

Hayley was texting away, her fingers flying across the key pad quickly. I don't know how she does that so quick, I can't even type the word 'hi' without making any sort of mistake.

"Who are you texting?" I asked her suspiciously, peeking at her phone screen. She giggled as if I had made a dirty joke to her.

"It's my Mom." She laughed, playfully kicking me. I kicked her back and we laughed quietly. We are a bit rough with each other, but we never mean to cause any pain to each other.

The sun was setting and it was getting late, so I told her she could just come back to my house. I loved the sunset, I like warm colors, but my favourite color is a deep green.

It was a Friday night anyway, so she could just sleepover. It probably won't make any more hassle then there already is in my loud house.

I opened the front door and my Mom smiled at me. I hugged her and asked,

"Can Hayley sleepover tonight?"

She nodded slowly, kissed me and walked off to make our dinner. Chicken wings. Mmm... my favourite. I think Hayley likes them too. Even if she doesn't, I'll make her eat them.

Hayley texted her Mom and she was allowed. We sat in silence on my bed. She awkwardly played with her earrings in her pocket. That was really awkward actually.

"What do you want to do?" I asked, kinda bored of being a teenager. Everyone thinks it's fun and my Mom always says she wishes she was a teenager again. Yeah, yeah, try being me... boring.

"It's so boring being a teenager." I whispered to myself, Hayley looking up at me with her deep chocolate eyes. She is a really beautiful girl, she's always had a lot of boyfriends. I've only had one which I still have. He's called Tyler.

"Yeah." She muttered and turned towards my bedroom window. I laid on my bed. I saw her eyes widen with joy.

"Danni, wouldn't it be cool if we explore those caves?" She asks excitedly. I sat up and looked to where she was pointing her manicured finger. Oh how she likes to keep her nails pretty. I shrugged silently.

"Yeah, but my Mom says there quite dangerous. Sharks might hide in there. I don't really want to take any risks." I answered back glumly. She turned and gave me a pleading face. Her brown hair fell in front of her face. Her hair is very silky and smooth too, perfect like the rest of her.

"Please..." She begged. I rolled my eyes. What she goes through to get her way. It's ridiculous, but I love her. (as a friend, obviously)

"All right, tomorrow morning when we go surfing." I said back, giving in to her desperate pleas.

Every Saturday morning, I go out surfing. Sometimes with friends, but mostly in my own. That's like my little time for peace and quiet in my loud house. I have five siblings. Mom, I think you should give having kids a break.

"Want to watch a movie then?" Hayley asked, turning on my TV. It's like she actually lives here, she owns pretty much everything I own. Except from my precious jewellery. No one touches my jewellery or they get their heads chopped off... that's a promise, not a threat... or is it...? Look at that, I'm now confusing myself.

"Yeah sure, pick a movie then." I say quietly, laying on my pillows. Hayley picked the movie, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.' I've seen it plenty of times, but I'll watch it anyway. I know the ending, so I try my best to not leak any spoilers. She knows it too, but if I interrupt her movie, she'll kill me. Just like how I'll kill anyone who touches my jewellery. Yes be scared, be very scared.

Throughout the movie, I just fiddled with my bracelet. It was from my Gramma, but she died a few months ago. It was silver chained and had a little emerald on it. That was my favourite piece of jewellery, but I also love all of my other pieces of jewellery. I just love jewellery. You already know that by now.

I heard my Mom calling during the credits, saying it was time for dinner. I licked my lips, rushing down the stairs with Hayley.

"Mmm..." I moaned as I tasted the juicy chicken. I dug in and ate a whole plate and asked for a second. My Mom shook her head and asked Hayley,

"Would you like any more before the monster eats it all?" We both giggled and Hayley nodded, making me give her a death glare. She just put on a superior face and ate happily, shoving it down her throat quickly.

I ate more and was burping because I was so full. My Mom shook her head at me, rolling her eyes and smiling.

"Good job you got down first, there would be none left for you, the twins would eat it all!" My Mom exclaimed, washing the dishes. We all giggled and me and Hayley returned upstairs.

Hayley and I finally fell asleep with full stomachs. I could just dream of more and more of those delicious... juicy... chicken wings...
