Nugget was now sat at the large table in the center of the lunchroom.

Billy had sat beside him, but there was hardly any acknowledgment going on. It was really just the football players discussing who is the best. Nugget couldn't help feeling oddly relieved. Maybe things won't be that bad after all.

Too bad he had to jinx it.

"Billy, darling." A nasally voice called from behind Nugget's seat. His eyes drifted to the person. Billy's did the same.

Cindy was standing with an annoyed expression, clearly pissed off by Nugget's placement.

Cindy and Billy have had an off and on relationship for a little while now, but everyone knew that it was mostly for sex.

"Yes?" Billy asked.

"What the hell is that freak doing in my spot?" Cindy wrinkled her 'pretty' nose at Nugget, clearly disgusted by his presence.

"First off, I've already told you that Nugget isn't a freak." Billy began. Nugget felt his heart do something he deemed unnatural at the statement. "Second off, who said that this was your seat?"

Cindy huffed violently. "You know damn well that is my spot!"

"Do I?"

"Mark my words, I'll kill you!"

"Will you?" Billy continued to entice the lion.

"You know what, I'll just start with the little freak." Cindy face morphed into an evil smile. It gave Nugget the heebie jeebies.

Without a moments notice, Cindy reached forward and slid both Nugget's and Billy's lunch trays forward. Both of which landed on the blonde haired boy.

"Cindy!" Billy stood up with a fuming expression. For a moment, it looked as though he was going to kill Cindy right then and there. "If I ever see your face near me or Nugget ever again, you might as well be dead."

With a dramatic huff and a hair whip capable of inducing whiplash, Cindy stormed off with clinking heels. Nugget looked at Billy. "Billy didn't have to do that."

Billy shook his head vigorously and sighed. "Nugget, do you have any clothes that you could wear?"

Nugget shook his head.

"Okay, here come with me." When Nugget looked down at his shirt, he could see that it was covered in applesauce, ranch, and chocolate milk. He felt his face go red.

Quickly, Nugget followed behind his friend.

When they reached Billy's locker, he turned and looked at him. "I have a sweatshirt that you could wear." He offered.

Nugget felt his chest do something weird. He needed to get that checked out. "Is Billy sure?"

For some reason, Billy made a weird expression, where he smiled softly as his eyes stared into Nugget's. "Yes, Nugg, why wouldn't I be?"

When his heart did that thing again, except ten-fold, Nugget knew that it has to be some sort of disease. "O-okay,"

Billy placed the sweatshirt, specifically the one that he had just been wearing, into his friend's hands. It was just a plain black sweatshirt, but for some reason Nugget felt his emotions go all over the place.

"Thank you, Billy."

After he had went into the bathroom to switch shirts, Nugget went to his next hour class, Science.

This was one of his few shared classes with Billy, but he sat next to Lilly instead. She offered a smile, before raising a brow. "Is that Billy's sweatshirt?"

"Um, yeah. Nugget had an incident during lunch." He said as a response, Lilly gave him an apologetic look.

"Oh, are you okay?" It wasn't a secret. Lilly was only acting suprised because she didn't want to damage his ego, but most of the school had been there to see what had happened.

Nugget nodded right as the teacher walked in.

Throughout the rest of the period, and then the rest of the day, Nugget kept finding himself sinking further into the fabric. It smelled just like Billy, and Nugget was just finding out that he really liked the way Billy smelled. There were even a few times where he nearly fell asleep.

For some reason, Nugget was becoming more and more entranced by his dear friend.

If only he knew why.
