Morning came all too quickly. I didn't dare let myself fall asleep. The tension in the air between the two of us was too great to be cut with a knife. I had disappointed him many times before, but in all the years I have known him, I have never once tried to escape him. I don't even know where I am-- or even where home would be... I'm as lost as a stray puppy who's mother abandoned her on the cold streets.

I had heard him pacing outside of my room back and forth in slow long strides probably waiting for my eyes to give in and shut. I knew he would unleash his wrath once I was soundless and sleeping like a baby.

Because I have known Master for years, I knew he had a trick up his sleeve. He always did. There was no way he'd let me forget what happened last night, and I knew he would soon punish me for it.

The heavy wooden door flew open with ease and there standing in the door frame was Master. He put on a cold smile and took one step into my room glancing around, then letting his dark brown eyes land on me. "Will you be joining me for breakfast?" He asked as if the events from last night never took place. I sat there mute staring back into his cold eyes.

A long demonic roar from one of his minions in another room broke the silence between us. They were probably fighting each other again as I heard rips and tears of flesh. Watching a demon fight is nothing compared to anything I have ever seen before. It was the most terrifying thing anyone could ever witness.

I felt Master's eyes scanning over my body in disgust as he ignored the growls and screams that were filling the stone halls. He never tried to break up the fights-- in fact, he enjoyed watching them and would often force me to watch them fight as well. 

"Anna..." His whisper sounded as if he were sitting right here in my ear even though I knew he was only standing in the doorway. I felt a shiver escape my frail body. He laughed quietly and turned to walk out. "I'll be expecting you in 5 minutes. Put on something nice, we have company." He called out as he exited the cold stone room. When he was no longer in sight, I let out a sigh of relief and  noticed he had left my door open and unlocked. Did he do that on purpose?

Before I was even able to get up off of my butt and dart out of the room to make another run for it, the door slammed shut without being touched and it locked. His mocking laugh filled the hallways as it slowly faded, then ceased completely.

5 minutes was all he was giving me. Glancing around the cold cellar room, my eyes fell upon a beautiful silky peach dress floating in the far corner of the damp room waiting for my touch. When did that get here? I've been awake all night jumping at every noise my ears informed me of... When could he have possible found the time to sneak that dress in here? But then again, he was capable of many things, so this shouldn't come off as a surprise.

Eager to get this disgusting night gown off, I thew it on the other side of the room and quickly pull the new dress over my head. He only allowed me to use a mirror once a week, so I really didn't know how sloppy the dress looked on me.

Once the dress was pulled down from over my head, my heart stopped. Staring back at me were a pair of light blue eyes-- Eyes I have never seen before... Ever. The boy was standing in the far corner opposite of where I had once been sitting, and he was eyeing me curiously. I suddenly felt afraid and exposed. Quickly, I covered myself even though I was fully dressed and screamed at him.
