This chapter and all future chapters were written with the help of @Kinda_a_Fangirl

Hey guys! Congrats if you're still reading! I know this isn't very good but we're trying. We write these chapters so that you can ship almost whoever you want, there is hinting towards some specific ships, but not all might end up together. I don't know what I'm saying. More chapters will hopefully be coming soon! Hope you enjoy this chapter!

Skylar's POV

Vylad and I ran through the woods in the direction of the clearing we left Laurence in. Oh geez, I can't let her kill another guard, especially not the brand-new-fresh-from-the-academy-newbie. Tyler'll be so mad he might try to find the rebel base himself. Which will only make matters worse. Speaking of which, note to self-get back to the castle as soon as possible- Max is gonna get annoyed at me for running off again, especially not today.

"Hey, Sky can I keep this?" Vylad whispered to me as we arrived at the clearing. I looked over at him and he was holding Laurence's sword.

"Vylad no why did you take his- ya know what I don't care just leave it near the clearing where he'll find it," I said as I facepalmed.

As we got closer to the clearing I heard Willow talking. "So what do you do? In the castle I mean."

"I'm a guard...a new-ish recruit." I heard Laurence reply.

"I see."

"Vylad stay here I'm going to tell her to go back to Camp," I said, turning to him.

Vylad's POV

Skylar walked into the clearing like a crazy person heading right for The Witch, the most bloodthirsty rebel in Silverden and Falconport. Skylar, I hope you know what you're doing you are quite possibly the craziest person I know. I watched Willow and Laurence's looks of surprise when Skylar casually walked out of the bushes with her hood up.

"Witch, what are you doing out here?"

"What does it matter Moonlark? I'm doing my duty as a rebel."

"Go back to camp. Now," Skylar said, crossing her arms as her hood cast a shadow over most of her face so Laurence wouldn't be able to see her face. Willow groaned and snarled.

"You are not the boss of me," She said with a frown.

"Actually, yes I am." Sky replied cooly. Willow scoffed at Skylar.

"You're still hot Moonlark," Willow said with a smirk and a wink in Sky's direction.

"Shut up Witch," Sky said with a glare and slightly blushed then turned to me, "I have some rebellion leader duties to do. Hunter, make sure she doesn't kill him. Please."

"But I have second-in-charge things to do-"

"Do it. Or the position goes to Ash," She said as she ran off into the wood with some sass in her step. Dang, she is so cute. I thought with a smile.

Skylar's POV

I run back to the Castle while pressing jewels on my mirror

"Let me see The Ghost," It turns a charcoal shade of gray and a blurred version of the brunette faded into view.

"Hey Moony what's up? You're late ya know." The girl on the other side said. "Your heading back right now... Right?"

"Yup, I got you Ghosty. I had to leave Vylad with Laurence and Witch." I said with a laugh as Ghost scoffed on the other end.

"Is Rose ok?" The girl's worry obviously there. "Actually, you know what, I don't want to know."

"She is fine, she's back at camp. I'm just outside the west wall of the castle. I am heading in now. Talk later?" I asked as I approached a large cliffside. It was four feet wide but of course, the clumsy me would stay towards the wall. I saw a thick rope fall down the outside of a balcony as I slowly came up to it. I slowly shimmied up the rope and pulled myself up over the stone railing of the balcony.

"C'mon Max has been looking for you."
