That tall blonde, I'd recognize him anywhere, standing here, IN THE WAY MIGHT I ADD. I don't know what to do, if he recognizes me what will he do? Obviously neither one of us are going to want this to come between work.....yeah that's right he wouldn't want this to get out to the others either so it should be fine. Just act as strangers. Good Daniel. Thank you Daniel.
"Uh- Hi! I'm Daniel! Daniel Park, new recruit, you obviously wouldn't know me but I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself." Yep, so far so good, act totally unbothered.
The blonde snapped out of his trance and turned to me, acknowledged my presence with a nod, and left.
Alright, way to go. Now we just have to get used to that awkward exchange for the rest of our lives.
Fun.
Thankfully with him out of my way, the trip to the conference room should go smoothly. I wonder who I'll be assigned to, I hope it's to a pretty lenient boss, I don't think I could handle anything else right now.
The moment I entered the conference room I was immediately taken aback by the bright purple hair of a very tall man in a suit. Not exactly what I imagine when I think "professional work setting" but who am I? He seemed friendly nonetheless and I would take any form of kindness I could find in this concrete jungle.
"Alright, now that we're all here, welcome to all of our new recruits. My name is Eli Jang and I will be your supervisor during your time here on the 3rd floor. As for assignments, Zack Lee you will be working under our manager of sales, Miss Mira Kim; Euntae Lee you will be in marketing alongside Jace Park; And last but certainly not least Daniel Park you have been assigned under our director Miss Joy Hong. That is all and I look forward to working with you all. Good luck on your first day. With that, you all are dismissed."
Now to find Miss Hong. She should be down here along this hallway, room c-24 from the folder Mr. Jang provided.
"room c-24...room c-24...room—" Almost as soon as I saw the numbers begin to get closer to my destination's I felt my body collide with a very solid structure. Is this the end of the hallway? Where am I supposed to be then?
While thoughts of panic began to set in I felt a hand grasp my shoulder, I finally glanced away from the room number I stopped at, c-19, and glanced back. It was none other than Vegas-man. Once I regained my bearings I realized that "wall" was the blonde in front of me and that Miss Hong was only a few doors away.
After the panic settled, I took a moment to look at my road-block. He was as still as a statue, not a word left his mouth from the time I ran into him to the time he spent watching me regain my composure. What was his deal?
With one single nod however, our encounter came to end. It was almost like he was trying to comfort me and let me know to be more careful. But that could always just be my imagination, he's probably pissed and doing his best to keep quiet about it. Regardless, he's no longer my problem.
My future boss awaits!
