|:| A Halloween in Time! |:| (A Hat in Time Halloween Story Featuring You!)

Part 6: Scary Movies & Unexpected Things.

(Oof I'm running low on good name ideas...)

When you look where the TV is, there was already a small pillow pile in front of the TV. Besides the candy, there were other miscellaneous junk foods for everyone to munch on. Hat Kid called for your name.

"Hey Y/N! Could you come here for a second?" 

"Sure" You say as you walk over to where she was.

" I need your help.. Most of the movies I have were already watched, and I don't have any more time to find another." Hat Kid said in a sorta-worried tone.

"Don't worry, I got you covered!" You said as you teleported to your ship. Once you got there, you found a box of movies you had. Making sure you picked one that would be okay for a kid to watch, but not like those crummy kids movies. You picked one up that was named, The Curse of the Loner's Mask. It was a good movie, so you decided on that. You went back to Hat Kid's ship to tell her the good news.

"Hey HK! I got the movie, and it's name it The Curse of the Loner's Mask."

"That sounds cool! What is it about?"

"Well, it's about when a writer and detective named Wesley Carter was investigating the death of his father, he uncovers a legend about a cursed mask named The Loner's Mask. It says that anyone who wears the mask will be cursed for 5 days, then killed on the fifth. Wesley then gets a hold of the mask, and the curse starts to happen. He finally realizes the curse is real and calls his detective friend Levi Burks for help. Willingly, she puts the curse on herself and together they try to find the meaning of he mask." 

She nods and takes you over to the TV by hand. Bow Kid and Mustache Girl are already there. Bow Kid ask if there are any gory parts, which you reply not really. Mustache Girl on the other hand was kinda disappointed because of that. 

"Hey Y/N! Can you turn off the lights? It will make things better for us!" Hat Kid said as she turned to you.

"Uh, sure. " You say as you get up. Finding the light switch was kinda hard since HK's ship was a bit big, but you eventually found it. The rooms went dark, and they had a weird feeling to them afterwards. You go back to the small pillow pile in front of the TV, and sit down. Hat Kid puts in the movie, and everyone ate snacks while it played. Eventually, the movie gets tense. You and Hat Kid was pumped, while Mustache Girl doesn't care and Bow Kid gets deeper into the pillow pile.

(Whoop de doo, let's do a short movie time-skip :D)

The movie was getting good, until the TV switched off. Actually, everything switched off. Well, peck. Hat Kid gets up and rushes over to the control area of her ship so we all don't continuously fall into the void of space.

"Guys, I think the power went out!" Hat Kid yelled across to us.

"You think?" Mustache Girl yelled back to her.

You thought to yourself, "That's weird... why would the power cut out on a perfectly clear night? Or maybe, something just hit Hat Kid's ship.." Luckily, you have your phone, so you turn on the flashlight. Suddenly, there was a loud sound coming from the kitchen, and everyone jumped. Being the curious one, you decided to investigate.

The noise was just the potted plant, but now it was broken. What made this plant fall?

"Guys, the noise was the plant. Also, it's broken now." You said, cleaning up some of the pieces that were scattered around the floor. You notice on the table beside where the plant originally was, a plate of caramel apples? On the plate was also a note.

"I really hope you enjoy these, I made them before I left. -CC"

Strange, you thought Cooking Cat left early today. Oh well. You call everyone to tell them about the treats (Oh and btw, you got the glass up.) 

 "Wow. I guess CC knew there would be four of us." Hat Kid said jokingly.

Everyone takes one, but you're kinda skeptical.

"Well, cheers for a really fun Halloween night." You said,  raising your caramel apple.

"Cheers!" Hat Kid and Bow Kid reply, but Mustache Girl just shrugged and put her apple up too. Now, everyone took a bite.

*Crunch*

Oh god, it was awful.

You frantically look for the nearest trash can and spit out the supposed caramel apple. Turns out, it was a caramel onion. W h y ?

While the other girls were trying to get the taste out of their mouths, you go back to the plate and look on the other side of the note.

"I made them myself. Enjoy them, fooools! -Ruler of Subcon Forest"

"I hate you Snatcher" You say a little too loudly.

"I knew something was wrong with this!" MG says frustrated.

Finally, everyone gets the taste out of their mouths. Hat Kid went out of the kitchen, and came back with a lantern. Thankfully she did because your phone died on the spot. Everyone leaves the kitchen, and we all go to the bedroom.

"Since the teleporters are broken, and all devices are offline.." HK started, "we can have a sleepover!"

"Oh, okay!" Bow Kid said.

"You've got to be kidding me." Mustache Girl said like she didn't want to be here longer than she was.

A sleepover? You hadn't had one of those in a while. But wait, you don't even have your pajamas. Oh well, I guess you will have to sleep like this. You take off your cloak and give Hat Kid her hat back. Everyone decided that making a pillow fort would be fun, so you all got to work on the base.

(Pillow fort time skip :p) 

There it was, the finished fort.  It was made from all the pillows HK had, and the area they were piled in. The building process took a while, but it was successfully finished! Time for the sleepover to begin.

(A/N: Wow, a chapter as long as the first. Good job me. Anyways, it sucks that you had to eat a raw onion, doesn't it?)
