Reamus was ten when he first began his tutoring. His mentor, an old man named Quin, taught him the ways of the legendary Spellweavers. Reamus was obviously a Spellweaver, the most recent one to be born.
As a Spellweaver, it was Reamus's duty to learn to control his power, then be transfered to a Spellweaver outpost for training from an actual weaver. Progress with Quin was slow, due to Quin's old age, but Reamus was still able to finish his first training in three years.
Reamus was quickly transfered to Vorgoloth, an active outpost just outside the Lands of Morgan. Reamus gasped when he saw it. He had heard tales of the great Vorgoloth, but never dreamed of anything close to its actual wonder. Vorgoloth was a massive fort, with one central tower reaching far into the sky. The outer walls of the fort were built in the shape of a star, with minor watch towers on each point. Even those lesser towers were higher than the tallest tower in his own village.
Despite Vorgoloth's size and might, Reamus couldn't help but realize how gloomy it was. As he entered the gate, he noted the black brick and the gray roofs. He thought it looked like a place of war and death. He would soon find out it was very much that, and a lot more.
On his first day, he was allowed to sleep in and freely wonder the fort. It was indeed almost a sad sight, but he didn't let the sour mood affect him. He left the room he was staying in, and exited the building. It was a barracks, and there was a total of ten. Each one had its purpose. He walked across he surprisingly green grass towards the massive center tower. The other Spellweavers called it Quien.
He stopped at the door and looked straight up. He almost fell over backwards. He was going to have a lot of walking to do if he was going to make it to the top. There were five doors, each one pointing to the five points of the star. He chose he first armored door close to him and was about to open it when he heard a shout.
"Hey, wait up! You going into that tower?" Another child asked, running up to Reamus. The boy was thirteen, the same age as Reamus.
"Yes, and I guess you want to come along?" Reamus replied.
"Yah, that would be great! There are others here, you know. They were boring, thouh. They just wanted to read old dusty spellbooks. I wondered out of the building and saw you, and figured you were different. I haven't seen you around before, so I bet you are knew." The boy spouted, obviously eager for company. The boys had began walking up the tower steps.
"Yup, it is my first day. I got here late last night, and decided to have a look around today. By he way, my name is Reamus. Reamus Vier."
"Oh, well, my name is Saf Quell. Good to meet you, mate. You are going to love it here."
And so Reamus and Saf continued their tour, and became immediate friends.
