She Was Right There

~Chapter 1~

"Damn is summer over already?? I thought it just started it..." My best friend Dana said

"School does starts is two weeks."

"TWO WEEKS?!?! WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO!!!"

"It went away." I said looking out of the car window staring at the white sandy beaches and the crystal blue waters

"Aye my dude. You good??"

"Hm? Oh yeah I'm fine. Just thinking."

I lied I wasn't okay. I couldn't stop thinking about my ex. I know what you might be thinking 'Why are you thinking about your ex?' DON'T ASK ME!! I don't fucking know!!

Looking at the road Dana made a face saying "Mhm and you except me to believe that??"

"If it works yeah.."

"Well no it doesn't. Stupid. So what's up?"

"Um..well I-" I get interrupted by her

"You are thinking about you ex again aren't you."

Damnit how'd she know...

"Because I know you."

"Did I say that out loud??" I said kinda embarrassed

"No you didn't but you had that look on your face and like I said before. I KNOW YOU!!"

I couldn't stop thinking about her beautiful curly blonde locs, those piercing blue eyes, and that beautiful laugh of hers. God, I loved her laugh. "Well, yes I am thinking ab her. She made me feel different in a good way."

"I know she did. It seemed like with her, you were...happier"

"She really did. I miss her-" I stopped myself and looked at her. Dana looked like she was about to start crying. I grabbed her thigh and said "Hey hon, are you okay?"

"I'm gucci. Let's turn on da music!" she turns up the music and blasts Booty Werk by T-Pain "JUMP OUTCHA CAR IN DA MIDDLE OF DA STREET!! OPEN UP THE TRUNK LET THE BASS BEAT-"

"You are something else yano that??"

"Gurl I knowww. I'm fabulous!!" she flips her hair and continues driving to the beach house

<15 MINUTES PASS>

"Are we there yetttttt" I say acting like a child 

"Shut ya baby ass up before I beat yo ass"

"BET BITCH!!" I said yelling at her

"Square up!! Heard you wouldn't hoe?!"

Dana punches me in the chest, while having her other hand on the wheel "Oh god, that shit hurted." I place my hand on my chest.

"You should know by now that I was in karate, used to wrestle, AND I'm in boxing."

"Well no shit sherlock!!" we pull in and I jump out and lay on the ground "OMG FINALLY!!!"

"You're a dumbass"

"But I'm YOUR dumbass" I say with playing with my feet in the gravel like a little kid.

"Getcho things" Dana smirks.

We went into the house and the place was HUGE!! When you first walk in there was a nice living room, through the living room was the kitchen. It was big enough to have someone sleep in there. Then up the stairs were two bedrooms and at the end of the hallway was the bathroom. Again it was big enough to have at least one person sleep in there.

I claimed my room and threw my things down on the bed, "Dana!! Come look at this view!!" I yelled.

"Yeah, I know what it looks like I've been here before."

"You have? You never said so."

"Well ya never asked stoopid. And it's my uncle's." She said walking into my room, sitting down on the bed. "I'm getting hungry. Ya want some food? I know the GREAT pizza place just down the road."

"Pizza? Sign me tf up!!"

<10 MINUTES PASS>

"Damn this pizza is really good bro omg."

"Since when have I ever let you eat bad pizza?" She said wiping sauce off of my face.

"Aye I was saving that for later."

She smirks and shakes her head "Eat ya damn pizza" she goes back to her "I'm not okay but i'm going to deny it with every being in my body" looks.

"Hey you okay? You are going in one of your "trances" again."

"Hm? Oh no I'm fine. Just getting full and tired"

At this point I KNOW she's not okay because she is a pizza lover and only ate 2 pieces "I'm calling bull on that. You aren't okay. Ever since I brought up my ex in the car ride you weren't okay. Do you not like me talking about her?"

"Look man, I'm fine. I don't care if you talk about your ex's."

The look on her face didn't match the tone of her voice and what came out of her mouth "Mhm yeah try again."

"Okay here's the thing. I don't care that you talk about your ex's but I just want to spend time with my BEST FRIEND! Without having to talk about things that we left behind back home. Ya know?"

I looked at her and analyze her body language and tone. I believe her "Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm sorry."

"It's okay I just want to have a good two weeks of summer vaca before we start our SENIOR year in high school"

"I love you, Dana." I stand and give her a nice tight hug then kiss her cheek.

"I love you too, crackhead."

At this point in time it's 10:56 PM and we both head our separate ways to our rooms, we do our nightly routines, say our good nights and hugs. But as I laid down I heard and awful noise come from Dana's room "OMG KAIDEN!! HELP ME!!" I rush in to her room and I was frozen by what I saw. Dana was-

OMG DANA WAS WHAT?! I MUST KNOW!! But hey guysss it's so nice to be back to writing. I've been MIA for awhile and never got the chance to come back until now! I'm hoping this story does well!! Anywayssss cya later in the next chapter and if I don't post tomorrow I'll just tell ya'll now. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I HOPE EVERYONE STAYS SAFE!!
