Aura and the Force ch:20 (part 1)

Third person POV, Professor Ports class

Weiss was sitting in Professor Port's classroom, listening to him talk about one of his encounters with a Grimm from when he was younger, however it was difficult for me to concentrate on the lesson, tonight was the night that Weiss and her team begin their investigation into the thefts that the White Fang and Roman Torchwick have been committing, Weiss was watching the clock on her scroll as it stopped on 3:59, with her chin resting in her hand.


"So Weiss, you know uh, I was thinking that after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?" came a familiar, and very annoying voice from my right, She didn't even bother to look over to see who it was, it was Jaune, he had been asking me out over and over again and no matter how many times she say no, he keeps asking her.

"And uh, you know well I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you want to make the trip to Vale, I hear it's awesome" he continued

"And... then maybe after we could, study together? I mean you're smart and I'm a, you know..." he continued., good grief he sounds so pitiful right now, no confidence at all, but she didn't have to deal with it for too long since the clock struck 4:00pm, signaling the end of class.

"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Jaune asked Weiss.

"No, no, no, yes" Weiss replied as she stood up and left the classroom quickly, followed by her teammates. Jaune slammed his head on the table in defeat as Yang walked passed him and rubbed his head saying one day. After a while team RWBY reached their dorm room they started to get changed into their investigation outfits.

"I thought that class would never end" Blake said as she finished tying black ribbons around her arms, to complete her outfit.

"Alright guys, today's the day, the investigation, begins!" Ruby said as she jumped down from her bed, almost landing on Weiss, but luckily she managed to pull myself back as her feet hit the floor, with both arms raised above her head.

"I'm glad to see that we are taking this so seriously" She said, not really convinced that this is a good idea now.

"Hey! We've got a plan, that's... moderately serious" Yang said in a carefree voice.

"Right, everyone remembers their roles?" Ruby asked.

"You and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies, or inconsistencies, seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem" Weiss answered.
"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members, if I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning" Blake said.

"I have a friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale, getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard" Yang said.

"Great, we'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we've found" Ruby said.

"let's do this!" Ruby said.

"Yeah!" came another voice from the window to our dorm, all the girls looked over and saw that blonde, monkey faunas hanging upside down outside our window!

"Sun!" Blake exclaimed as all four of them took a big step back from the window, shocked at his seemingly sudden appearance.

"How did you get up there?" Yang asked.

"Ah it's easy I do it all the time" Sun said casually.

"You do what?!" Weiss asked accusingly.

"I climb trees all the time!" he replied. Weiss narrowed her eyes at him.

"So... are we finally getting back at the Torchwick guy?" he asked as he jumped into their room.

"We are going to investigate the situation, as a team" Blake said taking a step forwards and making emphasis on the word team.

"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to" Ruby said.

"Pfft, that's dumb, you should always get friends involved, that's why I brought Neptune" he said as he pointed outside of our window with his thumb, they all rushed over to the window only to find Neptune standing on the ledge beneath the windows with his back pressed against the wall.

"'Sup?" Neptune asked casually, as if he wasn't on a very high and narrow ledge.
