Louis POV

Flashback

I pushed past a group of drunk people near the front entrance in hopes to find the person I've been looking all night for. I gripped my phone tightly in my hand and all I kept thinking about was the text message I read only hours ago. I can't do this anymore. That's it, that was all it took to shred my heart into a million pieces was those five words.

What couldn't she do anymore? I thought she loved me, and I know there was no doubt that I loved her even more. Last weekend was the best night of my life, we shared something so special together. I thought I actually meant something to her. But now here I am, looking like an idiot at this party, in search of a girl I'm not even sure cares anymore. After checking the next room and finding nothing but another drunken couple making their way to third base, I finally break. I didn't want to give up searching, but I had to. There was no other way I could move on.

"You're so sexy, let's go upstairs!" I'm pulled by my arm by a small blonde girl who is so obviously drunk. I try to escape from her grip and make my way to the door when I'm bumped into by a huge crowd and her drunken lips find mine.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." I quickly push the girl off of me and make my way out the door and find my car. I scramble for the keys in my pocket and quickly get in before I can let anyone see me break into tears.

What did I do wrong?

End of flashback

"Are you ready to go?" I'm pulled away from the screen I was just previously focusing on and it took me a second to realize who was speaking.

"Sam, I didn't even hear you walk in." I shuffle some things on my desk and quickly shut the computer off.

"Something on that computer must have been distracting you," I don't say anything, while I reach for some papers to take with me tonight.

"Louis, are you ok?" She asks with a worried expression across her face. How could I lie to such a beautiful face, this girl in front of me is my whole world and more. But she lied to you Louis.

"Uh, yeah I'm fine. Just a bit tired that's all."

One week ago

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Mr. Tomlinson?" A perky voice echoes through the phone.

"This is him," I log off my computer and carry a few folders with me as I walk to the elevator to leave.

"My names Kalie and I work here at the hospital, we were wondering if you could come in Monday for a follow up on your son?"

"I think you have the wrong number, I don't have a son."

"Louis Tomlinson, that isn't you sir? Our records show your relation to the patient. We need to see Micah on Monday, some of his test results came back."

"Oh, Micah isn't my son. My friend Samantha, his mother, must have put me down as a reference or emergency contact." I unlock my car and quickly get into the drivers seat, holding the phone between my ear and shoulder while I put the papers in the front seat.

"Micah S. Tomlinson, your sure that's not your son?" What?

"Say that again please, what's his last name?"

"Micah Tomlinson,"

I drop my phone on my lap and quickly hang up. That can't be right, can it? They must have gotten things mixed up, because there's no way-
