A sudden yowl came from the cloudclan nursery. Windstorm was having her kits. She breathed heavily as she snapped the branch in her jaws. In her blurry vision, she saw dapplestep licking a kit, and hazelspirit was also doing the same. A small furry body came out of windstorm, as lionscar quickly started to lick it. The new queen muttered: "the brown Tom shall be duskkit, the ginger she-cat will be blossomkit and the ginger Tom will be oakkit" hazelspirit quickly gave her the medicine that she needed, and went back to the medicine cat den.
Hazelspirit woke up in a tall tree, it was the frost tree near the ice path. "Why am I here?" She thought.
Hazelspirit cried at the thought of cloudheart, her apprentice that died from an avalanche while going to find herbs. "I could've saved her." Hazelspirit mewed at the memories of her beloved apprentice.
Suddenly a sleek white starclan cat appeared. "Cloudheart!" Hazelspirit yelped. Cloudheart nodded, "Hello Hazelspirit." She mewed. "So uh why am I here?" The brown she-cat meowed. "There's an important prophecy you need to know. But you can't tell Dawnstar, cause she won't let it go. The leaders change like time of day. A blazing dusk shall proceed the era, as the dawn will pass away." Hazelspirit meowed to the white apprentice: "what does that mean?" "I can't guide you the way through, but one day you'll see the truth." Cloudheart purred before fading away. Hazelspirit woke up in the medicine cat den and saw dapplestep looking at her with a worried expression. "Windstorm says she has a pain in her stomach." "I'm sure it's not much" Hazelspirit sighed.
Hazelspirit padded over to the nursery. Hazelspirit saw windstorm lying on her stomach, Hazelspirit muttered: "It's not much, there's just a little patch of fur that fell, and a scratch on your underbelly." Lionscar proceeded to take 3 kittens to Hazelspirit. "This one's duskkit, this one is blossomkit, and he's oakkit!" Lionscar excitedly screamed out.
"Duskkit huh" Hazelspirit thought.
