Excerpt 7:- Second Interview With Necrox

Written and Transcribed by Turtle of the SeaWings

Turtle is sitting waiting impatiently for Necrox, who presumably skipped the interview for a specific holiday. Necrox rushes in, and quickly sits down.

Turtle: Good morning, Necrox.

Necrox; Mornin' Turtle. What's up?

Turtle shrugs and references to the multitude of bandages he has on his arms.

Turtle: I figured it was time we had that interview again. You know, since the last one didn't go so great.

Necrox: So, any questions you want to ask to start off?

Turtle: I'm going to ask some, right after I make sure every appliance in the house is turned off.

Turtle leaves to do so and to check the ENTIRE HOUSE

15 MINUTES LATER

Turtle returns and sits back down.

Necrox: Lemme guess, you got them all?

Turtle: Hopefully.

Necrox: Good. Now you asked me about why I wrote NOIR, last time, right?

Turtle nods slowly

Turtle: Well, yes I did.

Necrox: Welp, I have an answer. 18 chapters in, and I fully know why I wrote NOIR.

Turtle: Oh my! Can I hear it? PLEASEEEEE?

Necrox chuckles and takes a sip of energy drink.

Necrox: When the time is right, I will be happy to share.

Turtle: AWW MAN

Necrox: Any other questions?

Turtle: Well, I've got a few. If you couldn't write, but you could draw, what would your art look like?

Necrox: Honestly, I have no clue. Most of my life I've resorted to writing because my brain naturally comes up with scenarios and situations. When I try, I can somewhat picture all the outcomes in a story, or even sometimes real life due to just my brain making these scenarios.

Turtle: So, you chose writing because you feel like you can be better at it than drawing?

Necrox: Well, kinda. Drawing for me is hard. Whenever I try to sit still, I shake slightly, which gives me absolutely no sort of steady hand.

Turtle: Is that the only reason?

Necrox: Well, not really. See, there are a lot of reasons as to why I don't draw, but I want to get back into it eventually, and hopefully get some art done.

Turtle: So, how do you tend to spend your nights?

Necrox: Considering all facts, I tend to keep myself up at night, either reading, or writing. The evening I feel is the time where my brain is most active, and the most rowdy. That being said, it really gets to my brain causing me to be nocturnal.

Turtle: How long can you go without sleep?

Necrox spits out a mouthful of energy drink and laughs.

Necrox: PFFT

I can go forever. Well, almost. See the Necrox included in the box has about a 48 hour battery life, and tends to recharge while in class or also at home. Some say he's part NightWing, and well others say he's just crazy.

Turtle chuckles and notes that.

Turtle: Sorry this is taking up a lot of time. I've got one more question. Are you an animus?

Necrox: Well, maybe.

See we are all Animuses.

We control our own fate, and I believe that's what an animus does. Now, are you good on questions? If so, I'm going back to my party.

Turtle: Party?

Necrox: Yep!

Turtle: Huh, interesting. I've got one more question tho.

Necrox: Go for it.

Turtle: When is NOIR going to be finished? Like totally done and no more chapters.

Necrox: I expected NOIR to take about a year to complete. See, I've got the storyline in my head, and it's a matter of finding how to get my characters there. I expect Season Two will be done very soon though, with Season Three hot on it's tail.

Turtle: Exciting! Any big plans for Season Three?

Necrox: In the words of track two of Attention Attention, "Cause it's about to get heavy!"

As Necrox finishes these words, he polishes off his can of drink and crushes it, tossing it in to a trash can from his seat.

Turtle: What do you mean?

Necrox: Lots of drama, lots of heartbreak. I'm just gonna say this up front, Star's prophecy is coming real soon. Now, am I free to go?

Turtle: Yes, you're free to go. Thanks for the interview.

Necrox: No problem, friend. Till next time.

Turtle watches as Necrox leaves.

Turtle: Wonder what kind of party he's going to.
