The Life of a high schooler

First Day Pt 1

Groans filled the air as Alaya rolled over to the other side of her bed to turn her alarm off.

She sat there for a few minutes and then started shaking, trying to wake her body up.

She grabbed her phone and went on instagram to check out the poll. Grwm on the first day won so that's what i'm doing.

I got off of my bed and sat down at my vanity to start recording my video

"Hey youtube welcome back to my channel if you're new welcome to the lay bug squad" i said in the best upbeat voice

"Y'all i'm sorry if i don't have the energy i usually give y'all. I'm just so tireddddddddd." i said truthfully

"I'm just like damn, it's 7am." I said laughing at myself

"So lets get started with the grwmmmmmm" i said dramatically

I grabbed my camera and went into the bathroom. I showed them how i do my skin care routine after i brushed my teeth.

I walked out the bathroom and went to my room to grab my clothes rack where i had outfits picked out. Since today is the first day imma start with something chill but cute ig. I picked a White Levi shirt with the floral print and some Light rockstar jeans with the basic white slip on vans. After i got dressed i put my knotless braid in a half up half down style. I added some lip gloss, i put in my contacts before i added some light mascara, hoop earrings and short lashes cause i don't wanna do the most like these other girls be doing.

"So boom baby i know it ain't much but it's something" i said while posing like i was on the red carpet

"Let me stop but imma record when i get to school... this video is basically like a grwm and a first day intro"

I was still talking to my camera when my mother walked in

"Layyyy hurry up and get ready for that bus cause if you miss it it's going to be me and you" she said sassy

"Hey y'all my momma looking at me with her bald headed self let let me go before she whoop me" i said laughing

"You damn right" she said running towards me laughing and i just screamed while running away with the camera

"That was close guys" i said hiding under the table but just then my mommy scared me making me hit the table with my head

"Owww" "Whatcha scare me for" i said rubbing my head but doing it gently so i won't mess up my hair

"Girl, the bus, gooo before you get left behind" she said opening the door for me before she took her 100 first day pictures to put on facebook.

"Have a great day lay lay" My mom said
"I will mommy" i said while giving her a hug
"My baby is growing up i'm going to cry" She said while hugging me tight

She let go of me and i walked to the bus stop. Shortly after getting there the bus pulled up. These kids took their timeeeeee getting on the bus. I found a seat all the way in the back and sat there. I put in my airpods  in and As the bus stop at the school Lil Keed Snake was playing.

I got off the bus and stared at the high school. I fixed my airpods before they fell out of my ear and walked into the school. I walked into the auditorium and sat down in the back so they can give they little speech and what not about the high school life. After they were done they called us in groups based on our last name. Since mine is White i'm last as usual. They finally got to M-Z and i stood up and walked to the table where the schedule handing was happening. I finally got mine and walked to where the lockers were. I open my locker and placed my book bag in and took and deep breath.

"You got this Alaya just keep breathin and breathin and breathin" i said while bumping ariana and laughing cause i can't take anything serious.

I closed my locker and put my back against the locker. You got this all we have to get through is the first day. Then i walked off through the semi crowded hallway to find my first period.
