" Focus , Cari !," Arnbjorn snaps," if you don't focus you'll be killed the moment I let you fight something without my supervision ".

He was teaching her some basic moves with a Sword and  a Shield .

" I'm trying to ,but you're going too fast for me !", she snaps back.

Glaring at her he says in a dead serious voice"Do you think a Draugr will ask you if he is going too fast for you?, the answer is No, he won't ,nothing that's out there will ask you that because all they want to do is ending your life , so,stop your whining and focus ".

Sighing deeply she lifts her shield arm up and readies her sword .

This was going to be a really long day .She'd been up since Dawn to learn . Arnbjorn had been patient until now late morning .He was probably hungry . She was too . She haven't eaten breakfast and midday was already winking at them .

" I'm hungry ", she moans as he corrects her form before continuing the lesson .

" We'll eat when you get this right ", he replies bluntly ," now come at me with all you've got ".

She sighs again ,then does as she's told ,ending up with her bottom in the snow for her effort.

He simply had swung his body sideways and kicked the back of her knees when she'd charged at him.

She feels like bawling her eyes out just about now for failing once again .

" Get up ,Cari ,and try again", she hears Arnbjorn urging her .

Slamming her fist frustratedly into the snow she gets up and try again without much success .

" Rage doesn't help ,Cari, it only causes one to make mistakes ,believe me ,I know ,just calm yourself and focus ".

"Oh ,focus on you ,Alright," she replies snarkily inside her mind ",All that manliness is clearly distracting."

That earns her a death glare as he readies his own shield and sword .

"Leave your smartass remarks for the cocky teens of this land , Cari,"he replies ",or kiss my blade ."

With that he charges at her swinging his blade expertly at her exposed face . Lifting her shield she blocks earning herself a satisfied smile from him .

"Good, now focus on not leaving your chest or sides exposed , or you might find a blade in your gut and heart ."

She nods and readies her sword and shield again.

This was truly going to be a long day .

" I'll be going to Whiterun tomorrow , I need to take care of some things , you'll be staying behind here at High Hrothgar of course ,I'll be back in a week or two ,then we can continue your lessons in fighting ".

" So ,I'm not allowed to leave this place then ?", she asks a bit furiously ,her brown eyes boring into his blue ones.

They were having dinner alone,since the Greybeards had eaten already .

Cari wasn't hungry because Master Wuthgar had cooked soup again . She nibbled on cheese and bread instead of dipping a spoon into her bowl .

" It's not that , Cari, you'll be learning your second word of power tomorrow and I don't want you to miss out on learning it ".

He scrunches up his face in disgust when a familiar lump of meat ends up on his spoon .

She can't help but smile at that . She did warn him not to eat the soup earlier when they sat down .
