I walked with my mom through the principal's room. With my stripes t-shirt dress on me and a jeans jacket.
My mom talked with the principal for about 7 minutes until she left and he asked me to go to my class with a teacher guiding me to my class.
It's 9 am in the morning and I walked as couple of students staring at me from my head to toes. I felt a little uncomfortable actually. I finally got in to my mathematics class and sat beside a girl named Clare.
We didn't talk much because the entire time, the math teacher is explaining the materials. I'm not really good in mathematics but I'm not a dumb girl that sucks in math too. I just so- so.
"You get that?" She asked me while taking some notes from the board.
I nodded while smiling, "still can handle it."
"You're accent is so American. Didn't you grow up here?" She asked me with her british accent.
"Yeah. I grew up here but actually I'm an American so just a few years there I can easily fit in by changing the accents. I knew it sounds a little weird but that's what happened to me exactly." I said with a little chuckle.
The class finished as it changed to Physics. So far it's quite good even there are some girls that giving me hate looks and some boys which are flirting at me but they seems normal as I a came as a new student.
As the bell rang we went to the cafeteria to take some lunch. We took our tray and some food.
"Where will we sit?" I asked her who is taking her drink, "let just sit with my friends. They'll behave." She said and start walking. I followed her.
I put my tray on the table in front of three girls. And if I can say, one of them is the queen bee of this school.
They had eyecontact with Clare. I know they're wondering who am I. But before everything goes more awkward, I gave my hand to one of them that is sitting in front of me.
"I'm Amanda." "I'm moving back from America."
"So you're a new kid?" One of them asked while signaling me to sit down. I nodded and sat in front of them.
"I'm Ava. This is Ashley, and This is Evelyn."
They smiled to me as I smiled back to them.
"So why are you moving here? If it's not a rude question." Ashley asked me while chewing her food.
"Actually I lived here since I was born. And when I entered mid school I moved to Washington because my daddy's job. But now we finally made it back here again."
"And she is originally an American too." Clare continued.
"That's why my accent is kinda weird." I said as I chuckled.
"But you got that American sassy accent, gurl!!" Evelyn said with her American accent.
"God you're an American?" I asked her as I sipped my drink.
She nodded, "I'm from North Caro. A newbie since 6 months ago."
We talked along the lunch session until it's time to go back to the class. I brought my tray back to its supposed place and when I'm going to our table I walked past a dark-colored hair guy with a little blondie highlights and hazel eyes.
"Amanda."
I glanced back to his way, looking at this one boy with bunch of childhood memories. Separated by things that we both didn't understand & wanted to,
"...Harvey?"
"Hollyfuck" "Where the hell have you been?" he said as he hugged me.
I silent as I hugged him back.
"Answer me. Why are you fucking leave me without any reasons, Am?"
"I- I don't understand at that time."
"So do I right now!"
"I just got back here." "Why the hell are you yelling at me?"
"What did you expect? You would think I'll be fine with these whole random situations?"
"I- I'm sorry." I said, and I really meant it. I knew I was wrong with leaving the town without saying a thing to him when he really needed me.
"Look," "meet me at the parking lot after school." He said and he left.
I got back to the table as the girls rounded their eyes and asking me what just happened.
"He's just an old friend of mine." I said calmly and sat beside Clare with my annoyed face.
"No- wait. You mean you were friend with Harvey fuckin' Cantwell?" Ashley asked me with her serious face.
"Y- yeah. We were a quite close friends in elementary. Why are you guys so intimidating?Gosh just tell me the reasons."
"So-"
"He was like the hottest guy in this school."
