__________
In the beginning, the Council made the prophets to communicate with the humans. It was fated that the prophets would have powerful guardians to make them live until their exact day of death where the next prophet would turn 16 and another would be born, so forth throughout the generations.

The God assigned to the task of giving the prophets their guardians messed up quite a little bit. He did fairly well for the most part, but he got distracted with a side project, with an angel and two brothers, one of which fell in love with the angel and the other with a freaking arch angel. So, he got lazy. He assigned most of the prophets well, but messed up with a certain prophet named Markham Helson.

Instead of giving him an archangel, he decided that he needed Gabriel for his side project and instead assigned a random angel, hoping no one would notice.

He was quite mistaken. You see if he had chosen Jehoel, the angel of fire, it would have been fine. If he had chosen Raguel, angel of justice, all would have played out smoothly but no.

He had to have gone and chosen Israfil. Israfil was a powerful angel in his own right, one of the four Islamic archangels, fated to blow the trumpet signaling the beginning of doomsday, but he was also just the angel of Music. There's only so much he can do.
