She walked into the room and everyone gasped, she was different. Her natural, bright blonde hair, big, icy blue eyes, and prominent freckles against her pale skin made her stand out. Everyone else had their dark brown or black hair with small, brown eyes and tan skin. The language she spoke was different than everyone else's too, so she never said anything, just bowed politely. As she walked, her royal blue dress bounced happily above her knees which contrasted her sad expression. All of the guys stared at her in awe while the girls glared at her with jealousy, yet nobody approached her. None of them knew why she was invited to the party, but they all knew she was.

Everyone gathered at the massive dining table to eat and share pointless small talk. She didn't touch the food nor did she say anything, she just looked at her lap and listened to the conversations. The feeling that something was off made her aware of everything, something bad was going to happen. That's when everyone was excused from the table and started to wander about to converse with others.

She however decided to stay alone and watch the party of wealthy people. Soon, a handsome young man came up to her and bowed. He had the most gorgeous she had ever seen, his dark blue suit and incredible height stood out among the others.

"Mrs. Christon, what a pleasure to meet you. I'm Jae Chan, son of CEO Jae Ji-U,"

"I know," She informs softly, refusing to look him in the eyes. They really did look interesting together, her short height and his tall, lanky figure.

"Why don't we grab a drink and talk?"

"I don't drink,"

"What about a talk then?"

"Don't make it long,"

"Where are you from?"

"The States,"

"How old are you?"

"Twenty,"

"Aha! So we're not that much different then,"

"We're complete opposites, don't assume anything," He stood there for a second, stunned at her statement.

"I believe our conversation is over, have a good evening, Mr. Jae," She bid her farewell and walked away with an emotionless expression.

"Ms. Christon!" Everyone stared at him for being quite loud and he apologized, obviously flustered.

"This girl..." He chuckles then continues, "She's definitely something, something I like,"
