"Miss!"

"Miss!"

I groaned and shifted, only to find that I wasn't on my bed, but on a car. The leather beneath my hand was cool and I felt surprisingly comfortable. I wanted to lay there forever and not have to face the stupid selection...

Wait.

The selection.

My eyes flew open and I took in my surroundings. I was in the back of a car with another lady next to me and the driver in front of me.

"Where are we going?" I blurt out.

"To the airport my dear," the lady replied. She looked like she was in her eighties.

The airport.

The palace.

The prince.

I groaned again and buried my head in my hands. I really, really, really didn't want to go. I wanted to go home, back to my brothers and everything I left behind.

"No," I whimpered. "Please don't take me there."

I sounded pathetic but at this point, I honestly couldn't care less.

"It's OK honey," she said, patting my shoulders. "It'll be alright."

Easy for her to say. I mean she's not the one who got ripped away from her home and forced to live with an arrogant prince.

I sigh deeply. I can feel tears starting to build behind my eyes, but I'm determined to be strong. I blink the tears away and sit up.

"We're here now," the lady says in a cheerful tone, while she helps me out of the car.

"Thank you," I say in a formal tone.

She gives me a wide smile and we walk towards the airport with several guard behind us with my luggage.

After 2 hours of painful boredom, the other 3 girls finally arrived. I was pretty sure their names were Audrey Johnson, Iris Wright, and Brianna Walter. Audrey had big, pretty, brown eyes with curly black hair. I vaguely remember her from the show. Iris Wright had red hair that reminded me of Queen America's hair. Brianna was a brunette with pale skin.

Audrey walked up to Iris and whispered something in her ear while glaring at me. I shifted uncomfortably under her glare and I tried not to meet her eyes. However, Iris made a face and took a step away from her.

Audrey pursed her lips at her and walked over to Brianna. She also whispered something in her ear and raised an eyebrow at me.

Brianna looked at the floor but didn't say anything back.

Audrey, obviously annoyed that no one was taking her side, flipped her hair and smirked at me.

"Why are you here?" she said in a sassy tone.

"Umm...For the selection, duh," I say.

She snickers,"That not what I mean," she says with a hair flip. "Like why though? You're a two." She spat the word "two" like it tasted bad.

I felt my face heat up and I looked at my shoes. I had a comeback at the tip of my tongue, but I knew that it would do me no good.

She flipped her hair and sat on one of the several airport chairs. She took our her phone and started doing who-knows-what.

Iris gave me a small smile that said "don't worry about her". I smiled back, thankful to have someone who doesn't completely hate me.

Brianna kept her eyes on the floor, as if it was the most interesting thing she ever saw.

"Hello ladies!" a chirpy voice breaks the awkward silence and a woman dramatically walks through the entrance.
