The stars glittered so bright as they sat perfectly on a dreamy, dark night. The eyes of Cassidy are still beaming wide open as she read the stupid book about love, "Better Bitterness" by Rosie Chikes.
She pondered and laughed so hard and ensured that she won't make any loud noises inside her bedroom to avoid waking her parent below stairs. Its almost 11:30 of a summer friday night, wind blew the open curtains and shriveled her from head to foot. She ran towards the window and closed it. Her cat, named Oranged purred down at her feet, "Meow...meow...grrrr...meow."
"Might some ghosts staring at me Orange or much worst, hugging me." Cassidy bumped to bed and covered her whole body with a pink floral blanket and forced herself to sleep, eventhough she wanted to read more stupid lines from chapter 8 of the book. Her wild eyes turned down and the silence of the night creeped to the corners of the room.
Its almost 7:30 in the morning when, "Wake up Cassidy! More grasses to trim outside and beatles to pick from the garden! Rise up child!" Her mother, Lyla, shouted with love to the sleeping doors of Cassidy and knocked until her eyes struggled to open, wanting more hours to sleep.
"But its summer. No classes to stress out and..." She replied, and Lyla rebutted with "...And more house works to do! Come on now dear." She came down like a slug, leaving her bedroom uncleaned. The smell of the toasted cheese bread and butter cream chicken fillet made her body came alive.
"Eat breakfast first my beautiful Cassie." A kiss to her head from her father Henry. The plates on the table were stormed by a hungry girl while her parents' eyes points at her. There's no food left for Orange to eat. "Oh! Poor Orange, might be a hungry cat." Lyla uttered sadly.
They are so lucky to have a daughter like Cassidy, they never wished to have a girl before, but there she was, eating five breads and a mouthful of butter cream in front of them.
Cassidy was so loved by her parents very much. "Okay, Lyla my sweet tooth, I have to go! More papers are waiting on my office table. And you Cassie, keep the house clean and in order." Henry rushed. He worked as a Marketing Sales Manager at the Comrades Company.
"Go my dear husband, call me when you're in." Lyla grabbed her husband's head and kissed his cheeks, this made Henry blushed and Cassidy's face turned like "awwww...so sweet!" Henry opened the front door ready to jump right outside to his office.
Lyla prepared herself to go to work too. She is one of the editor at the "The Daily Paper", an emminent publishing house of newspapers of Ambleton Village. Cassidy's both parents are working eight hours a day. That means, she stayed whole day inside the house cleaning and keeping things while her parents are away.
Since it is summer vacation, she can do whatever she wanted inside the house without the supervising commands of her parents. "Goodbye my dear love, see you so soon." "Bye Mom!" she smiled with some big summer plans on her head.
After an hour of house working, Cassidy decided to watch her favorite morning show, "Billy Watson and The Mighty Name of Glory." She watched while eating coconut crackers and seemed to be interested for today's feature. The host Billy introduced a new social media platform for those people particularly those teens who wanted to have connections for the different far places.
This new platform is called "TrendyFriends", an interactive site for teenagers. She ran to her room, grabbed her phone and called her one and only true bestfriend in the whole Ambleton Village, Leticia Brown. "Hey! Leti, come here at my house right now." "Why?", Leti answered lazily. "Don't you hear about the TrendyFriends site? We must have one account, each, for us!" "Okay, Sis. I just have to take my shower first and then I'll go straight to your house", Leti replied while wiping her eyeglasses.
"Tok! Tok! Tok!" The knocking sounds called Cassi to open the door. She was glad and happy as she found out the one who's standing in front of her, its Leti! The two rushed to the bedroom and talked about the social site mentioned on the show.
Cassi opened her computer laptop and entered the web through www.trendyfriends.com. They are prompt to sign up to use the full site. "It's more likely to be a personal account." Cassi said as she scrolled to the page. She entered her full name and other stuffs about herself to complete creating her account.

"Finally!", Cassi shouted as she finished making her account. The site asked to add friends to her lists so that she can chat with them and follow them. She clicked the friendlist button, there she found the name Leticia Brown. "You already have one? Leti?" She asked strikely. "Oh! Ahmmm. Yes, I made it just now, on my phone."
The TrendyFriends site is not only accessible through computers but also to some other phones. They quickly add each other and follow all of their favorites they can find. The two spent a lot of time scrolling their profiles hoping that they can find something relevant. "It's useful, especially for you, to find someone you can...you can...uhmmm...love...again?!" Leti shakily opened a conversation.
"Seriously? Coming from you? Leti? Don't you know about how Kennedy Ashton messed my junior life. Did you forget about him?" Cassi answered with slight anger. "I remember about that guy. Sorry. My bad. I'm just suggesting if you can start new one, new begginings? eh?" "I'm done loving Leti. You know that. Love sucks. Seriously."
Bitterness coming from the very mouth of Cassi who's afraid of loving again. They continue to do what they're doing, they ate their lunch together with a sizzling pork belly barbecue bought by Leti from "Grill's Yard".
It's already 3:30 of afternoon when they felt enough for the day. "Enough for a saturday bonding, Sis." Leti smiled ready to go home. "Yah! Thanks for coming. Will you be here on Monday?" Cassi seemed to be excited. "Uhmmm. No, I guess. We will visit Grandma on East Ville tomorrow, for one week, of beach vacation. Don't worry I'll post pictures on TrendyFriends." Cassi looked sad but she cheered Leti to have a blessed and happy trip. They walked downstairs and stopped at the door, waving farewell to each other.
Cassi thought, "When we will have our summer vacation. A month and a half from now, I will be going to school, a lazy 12th grade, last year for a senior." Two hours after, Henry and Leti arrived to their house meeting Cassi with a tight hug. "How's your day? Little bird?" Henry asked. "A very good ending to end a good day!", and they all laughed.
