Quarry

Amber's POV

I looked at the boys in disgust as they spat into the water seeing who could spit the furthest .

"You guys are disgusting you know that right"
I said .

"H-hey Amber . Why a-are you s-still in your c-clothes ?"
Bill asked .

I thought of how I couldn't show my arms before replying

"I'm just not feeling it today ya know"

"O-oh Ok . So w-who's going f-first ?"

"I'll go"

I turned around to see the source of the voice which happened to be Beverly .

The next thing I knew she had already jumped In causing Richie to let out a

"WHAT THE FUCK"

I snorted as Richie said

"We just got shown up by a girl"

After that the boys jumped in one by one .

I decided whilst they was in the water I would go for a walk .

I pulled out my lighter before lighting the cigarette Beverly gave me the day before and taking a puff .

"Light mine too . Will ya ?"

I looked to the source of the voice and sighed in relief when I saw it was Henry .

I lit Henry's cigarette for him before he continued

"I thought you was meant to be with those losers"

"I was but they was jumping in the lake so I came for a walk"

"I swear it was just you and your mom that moved in next door?"

I looked up at Henry in confusion before replying

"Yeah it was . Why ?"

"There's someone else there all the time you can hear him . The walls are thin"

He wasn't lying either the amount of times I'd heard Butch going off on one at Henry since I got here is uncountable.

"So it's not just me that can hear him"

"I've never seen him though"

"Neither have I . I will have to be getting back to the quarry soon"

"Losers"

"There nice people"

"There losers"
Henry's face looked annoyed whilst he said this .

"If I didn't know any better Henry I'd say you was jealous"

"Why would I be jealous ?"

"Figure That one out yourself . Also sorry about your friend . Patrick right?"

On the way to the quarry I had seen multiple missing posters like usual except this time instead of seeing Betty Ripsom posters I saw Patrick Hockstetter ones .

"Patrick is probably just lost or something"

"You actually believe that ? So all these missing children are just lost"

"No I just always thought Patrick was the one doing it"

"Most people think it's you"
I replied .

"Do you think that ?"

"No I think whoever it is I haven't met them yet"

After talking to Henry some more I made my way back to the quarry only to see all the boys staring at Beverly whilst she layed there causing me to scoff and stifle a laugh .

Whilst they was all in a trance I thought it would be rather amusing to make them jump .

"I'm back"
I said loudly causing all the boys to jump as Beverly let out a grin .

"So where'd you go ?"
Stan asked .

"Just for a walk then I saw Henry Bowers"

"Did he hurt you ?"
Ben asked .

"No we just spoke"

"Spoke about what ?"
Richie asked .

"Nothing important"
