Windfall

Windfall: Chapter 1 - 4:13 AM

You ever expected to be filled with such rage when something unexpectedly happens to you or everything in your life takes a turn for the worst? Yeah me either, my life was changed when everything took place. It was like I couldn't even move but I could hear and see everything and feel it.

Sitting in a chair while they asked me questions and relentlessly beat on me to the point where surgery was needed was...more than enraging. I was out with a friend...a partner. Was clubbed over the head and came to the quick realization after I woke that I've been blindfolded. Still waking I could barely hear anything as I was in the process of regaining my senses back.

Being beaten, tazed, cut, and stabbed is not any kind of way you would plan the end of your life to play out. I heard a large metal door open when I believed that it was over, yet I heard a click and felt the hard and wet cold metal of a barrel pointed at my head. I took a deep breath preparing for it to all be over for once, just kinda gave up. I realized I waited for a gunshot only to hear other people besides myself fall to the floor and then one last person. I wasn't sure what to make of any of it, after that all I could hear was someone struggling to breathe and some goons rambling as the rain pours heavily outside, as I struggle to break free I stop to notice the goons decided to leave me where I was and drove off.

5 minutes go by and I hear sirens rushing in from where the door was opened, the blindfold was taken off of me as I was holding onto my life, everything was...blurry. As I looked around I saw 3 dead men in front of me and 1 female that was yet still holding on to her life as well. I was cuffed and put on a gurney and taken to the nearest hospital. The ride there was something else, all I can remember from that ride was seeing all the lights in the back of that ambulance, all the lights that danced around me and the first responders and then darkness flooded my vision.
