Chapter 3

As I walked out of the Academy Krishima was walking along with me. He started talking about his favourite pro hero and how manly he is.

I smiled a bit after he split off from me. He sure talks a lot about manly things.

I walked looking down thinking of how I did in the exam. I feel like I did well enough for both written and practical but I could be mistaken.

As I got near my house I bumped into someone "O-oh...sorry.." I moved past the person who laughed before putting a hand on my shoulder "How was it Kiddo?"

I turned around and looked up at them noticing it's my dad. I smiled and hugged him "Hey!" He hugged back then we both let go. "I think it was okay.."

I started telling him about how the exam went as we walked home. We got to the kitchen as he prepared a meal I continued for a while.

"The boy was right though [Y/N]. You do need to watch out for yourself as well" I nodded as we ate.

A week has passed and I was sitting on my bed playing with my ukulele. I heard a knock on the door and my dad entered holding a letter "It came. I'll leave you to it." He smiled and set the letter on my desk before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

I stared at the letter for a moment setting the instrument next to me on the bed. After a couple minutes I sit at the desk and open up the letter. I look at the small device then set it down on the desk.

A holovid shows up of All Might  "I AM HERE! [Y/N] [L/N] I WANT TO CONGRATULATE YOU ON HOW YOU DID IN THE ENTRANCE EXAM!" A box opens next to All Might showing me fighting the bots, and then catching the falling debris. "ALL TOGETHER YOU'VE SCORED 75 POINTS" A screen showing the scoreboard comes up with me in second place. "AND I'M GLAD TO INVITE YOU TO STUDY IN THE HERO COURSE AT UA Academy! SEE YOU SOON YOUNG [L/N]" The holovid turns off.

I look at the device smiling and tearing up but giggling a bit "I passed.." I ran out of the room and went to my dad. "I did it! I got second place!"

He looked at me and hugged me tightly lifting me up from the floor laughing "I knew you could do it!" He set me down and let me go "Even got second place?" said lightly punching my shoulder "Nice work there kiddo. Now come on we need to celebrate."

We go out to get my [f/f] and then walk around for a bit. I keep thinking about UA and how excited I am for actually getting in. Turns out the training did come in useful. I was also glad to be able to spend some time with my dad.

Considering I still had to turn in my idea for a costume I decided to do that the next day. Since I've always enjoyed the classic detective look I decided to go with a white shirt, black vest, black smart pants, brown smart shoes, and a tan trench coat. Now I was ready to begin my life as a student for the hero course.
