I pulled back after realization hit me and looked down.

"I'm sorry I can't."

"Mack, I'm sorry I just-"

"Max, you're fine. It's just with Matt and I still have to break it to Cam that I'm not really interested in him. It's all too much."

He took me into his embrace and hugged me tightly. "Everything will work out in the end Mack, you know it."

"Thank you."

"No thank you Mack, you're always there for me even when you're away."

I smiled and he grabbed my hand. I shook my head.

"I need some fresh air, to think."

He nodded and leaned down and left a slow kiss on my lips. I closed my eyes and breathed. I took out my phone and called the only person who would understand this all.

"Hello?"

"Jack?"

"Yeah. Kenz is that you? You sound different are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm at school right now, well I'm outside. Trying to understand something. I'm really confused, I-Jack can you help me?"

"Of course. Kenz I'll always be here for you."

I smiled and took a deep breath. "You know how like I guess Cam and I have or had a thing?"

"Mhm."

"Well, I like Matt too as you know. Cam kissed me and then told me to kiss Matt and tell him who I had feelings for. So I though okay this would be simple. Yet, the more time I spend away from both of them i can't help but miss Matt more."

"So, you like Matt not Cameron."

"I think, Matt and I have been texting and then today I don't know if you saw my Instagram post but my friend Max asked me to homecoming. I'll tell you how he asked at Magcon soon but anyway I went to put his gift in my car and I'm standing infront of my car and he kissed me."

"Okay okay. So Max kissed you. He knows about Matt but wait did you pull back back?"

"After I realized about Matt."

"Alright so what you do is you tell Matt, in Cali. Say what you just said to me and then you will have to go to Cameron and tell him how you feel about him and Matt and then break that off."

"God Jack what would I do without you."

"I don't know because I don't know what I'd do with out you either Kenz."

"Alright. I have to go, I have lunch next."

"Alright bye Kenz."

"Bye Gilinsky, thank you so much. Love you."

"Welcome. Love you too."

I hung up and walked back into the art room entrance on the side of the school. I walked in and the bell rang. I went to lunch after telling Bailey what happened secretly and sat next to Nicole.

"Hey lovey! Hungry?"

I shook my head no and looked around the lunch room mindlessly. Max came and sat across from me and he smiled. I smiled back and looked down at my phone.

iMessage: Cameron💞: Hey beautiful how's your day going?

Me: fine, I'm at lunch wbu.

Cameron💞: Chillin. What ya eating?

Me: nothing, not really hungry :/

Cameron💞: Mackenzie Hamilton not hungry?! Lies
