Wandering aimlessly
Mind blissfully unaware
One foot in front of the other
And then there you came
Stumbling into my world
Taking the breath from my lungs
The words from my mouth
I became a stuttering fool
Staring and smirking
Hanging onto your words
Like music to my ears
Every sound, pounding like a drum
Vibrating my soul
A tidal wave of emotions
And yet being around you
I can forget about my worries for a while
Enjoying your company
Talking for hours
In our little bubble
No worries, no cares
Reality sets in
A fluttering in my chest
The warmest embrace
Clinging to the hope that we'll see each other again
But for now you have become my beautiful goodbye.
