Veleno

Chapter One

It was 9 at night, 25th August, coming into the end of summer. Catarina Valentine has spent the last 4 years living with her grandparents in Bari; Italy. She was all dolled up for what the night had to throw at her, which was a Gala. Well more like a celebration of all things business and since her grandfather is super famous for his phones. She was guided into the large main hall along with her grandparents, they were seated at the front along with other world-famous businessmen and women. Catarina hates turning up to these events, especially today as there is a dungeon calling her name back home, she groans quietly, "God this actually blows," She thought as she slumped back and throws her head back groaning, her grandmother looked over and rolled her eyes, before nudging her husband to say something, he turned and glanced at his granddaughter,

"Catarina! Siediti su quella sedia correttamente," (Catarina! Sit in that chair correctly!) Her grandfather said to her, giving her a kick under the table,

Catarina looks over at him to see the death glare that he was giving her, she rolled her eyes and sat up only for her to lean over and place her elbows on the table to annoy him even further, hoping that she was able to leave,

"Ragazza stupida!" (Stupid girl!) Her grandmother said as Catarina just smirked at them as she leans back, she grabbed her phone to check the time,

Another 3 hours till she's able to leave, this isn't the best as that dungeon will already be complete. Groaning; she got up and turned to them and said "Vado a casa!" (I'm going home!) before any of them could stop her she tucked her chair in and stormed out of the main hall and into the left-wing, since the door towards the entrance hall was blocked off due to the event.

As she closed the door she made her way to the balcony that overlooked the whole village she lived in, she does appreciate her grandparents letting her live with them but every year she doesn't want to turn up to the same event, every year its the same. Get invited, turn up in smart attire, get seated, talk about business for 3 hours with some fancy dinner set up by a world-famous chef. It was cool the first year now it's just... boring. Catarina decides to now make her way back home. She didn't have enough money on her for a taxi and certainly she wasn't going back into the event to ask her grandparents so she decided to walk home.

As she makes her way towards the door to leave her phone vibrates. Digging through her bag she grips the phone and pulls it out taking a look at what caused her phone to vibrate,

Shapiro: Hey Cat-a-tari! The guys and I were wondering when you're coming on? It's not like you to miss a dungeon.

Cat-a-tari: Torno presto a casa. Non mi mancherebbe per il mondo (I'll be home soon. I wouldn't miss for the world)

Shapiro: I've also got a headset so we can talk to the guys, you don't have to speak since you can understand us, I'll let the guys know,

Cat-a-tari: Grazie Shapiro (Thank you, Shapiro)

Catarina smiles and places her phone in her bag, she knew how to read, write and speak English. She just decided not to use her knowledge and stick with Italian. Every Friday after school she gathers with her online friends and play WoW, she adores the game to bits and is happy that shes found a small group who enjoys it as well, and the best thing about it is... They don't know she's a female! Catarina knows that some guys hate when there's a female on their team and become uninterested in playing and become utter assholes.

Now considering that Catarina is a girly girl, it was very rare she'd like a game like WoW since of its properties and how it was played. She found her first online friend though Reddit, since she was looking up how to a certain quest, that's when she met Shapiro. He was willing to help her and mentioned he had a small group, which consisted of two other people, Sinj and Burf. Catarina just introduced herself as Joe, just a simple name for the time being. She then began making her way towards the exit while thinking of a reason why she can't speak. Only Shapiro knows that she's from another country.
