They are pretty easy to draw, starting with a simple circle.
Then I sketch the eye, shaping the expression, and one by one draw the arms. I keep the circle I began with to help keep the arms aligned.
Once you are satisfied with your sketch, clean up the edges.
How I draw the arms is with a small indication from the body.
I then continue with a curving line.
I set another line to help me set where the line will end. Making sure to keep it curvy so the arm has a stubby end.
To draw an arm that is bending, I begin with sketching out the stubby end first.
And then work from the shoulder to connect. Make sure to draw the elbow to give it depth.
I draw my Phantoms with the description of "vampire-like fangs". To help give it depth, study animals that are snarling in third-quarter view.
