My mothers experience:
Tom was killed ages ago in this hotel in my bedroom. I am unsure of how or when this man was killed. In the first part I mentioned a bit about Tom and his weird food habits.
He was also a local drinker at this pub. Since he lived here he might as well go drink there. I have been told by the old cleaner who used to serve him years ago his personality. He was explained as: unhappy, angry but completely quite and harmless. He was rude towards staff.
My mother told me he was not a nasty spirit but she thought he was more lonely. It wasn't like the movies when you feel a presence or see it. This presence was finally resting. My mum believes that these ghosts or spirits just have not found their way into heaven yet they are still sticking around to see someone or something. I think of it now like a separation anxiety. Tom loved this place as it was his home. He doesn't want to be seperate just yet. Maybe he is too scared to let go?
My mother has had heaps of encounters with Tom. She told me his spirit would watch her and the cooks in the kitchen. I never got told if it was a physical sighting or just that feeling you get that someone is watching you.
He would wonder around the halls of the rooms and take in the whole place.
My mother would tell guests "don't worry there's only a few ghosts wondering around" she said it jokingly but the guests never knew that unless they actually came across it.
