Timeless ||✔️

XIII

I screamed as I fell out of the sand storm and landed next to Evie. I groaned in pain as I sat up and looked over at Evie in concern,
"Are you alright?"

She nodded before asking me,
"Im alright. What about you?"

I softly smiled at her before I said,
"I'm still alive."

She rolled her eyes at me as we stood up. I saw Beni struggle st o stand up as Imhotep walked out of the sand storm. My head snapped behind me as I saw a plane flying towards.

I let out a sigh of relief as I smiled,
"O'Connell."

Imhotep looked towards me and had a look of rage on his face. He walked past the three of us before mumbling something. Suddenly a wall of sand was heading towards the plane and it engulfed them,  he was trying to kill them.

I gasped as Evie said,
"Stop! You'll kill them!"

Beni smirked as he said,
"That's the idea."

An idea popped into my head causing me to grimace. You can do this. You can do this. Oh screw it. I ran towards Imhotep and grabbed his face in my hands. I slammed my lips to his and his eyes closed as mine stayed open. I saw the wall of sand dissipate and the plane fly out of it. I pulled away from him and I grinned. He looked behind him and growled.  Suddenly the plane began to spiral down and it crashed to the ground. I gasped and my hand covered my mouth before I tried to run to them,
"Rick! Jonathan! Ardeth!"

He took ahold of my hand in a vice like grip as I saw he was pulling Evie behind him as well. He pulled us towards Hamunaptra as my heart thudded, they couldn't possibly dead. After twenty minutes or so we were in the tunnels of Hamunaptra. I stopped to take a breath when I felt a gun pressed against my back. My body tensed as I saw that he was holding one to Evie's back as well,
"Move along."

Evie and I began to slowly move as she glared at him,
"You know nasty little fellows like yourself always get their doom."

He chuckled nervously before saying,
"They do?"

I glared at him before hissing at him,
"Always."

I flinched as a gunshot echoed throughout the whole place. A smile slipped on to my face as I said,
"O'Connell."

I saw Imhotep take a jar from his cloak. He took some of the sand out before he blew it out of his hand and towards a wall with drawings on it. I felt the gun drop from my back as I took a step back as the drawings started to step out of the wall and become mummy like. I smacked Beni's arm before I shoved him in front of Evie and I. As soon as they walked away I felt my body collapse to the ground as everything went black.

I groaned as I fluttered my eyes open to see an unfamiliar room. I looked around to see a rat sitting on my stomach. I turned to my left to get it off of me only to come face to face with a mummy. I turned towards my left to see Evie in the same position as me on my right. I looked over to see Imhotep walking towards us as he held the book of the dead above his head. I saw a bunch of mummified priests surround us and bowed as they praised Imhotep. He unlocked the book before I yelled,
"Rick! Jonathan! Ardeth!"

I tried to escape from my restraints as he began speak. I looked to my left to see two spirits rising from a pool of black water. My eyes widened as it went right above Ashara and Anck-Su-Numun, and into the bodies. They both suddenly began to move as they screamed which in turn caused Evelyn and I to scream.
