I felt my bed dip in and my eyes immediately shot opened. I was never a heavy sleeper and that was mostly my dad's fault. Why? Because everytime a bitch would get in a deep sleep he would scare my ass, then gonna say some shit like "Your a Cortez you need to be alert at all times." Like bruh a bitch was tired as fuck.
I was about to scream for my brother but a hand clamped over my mouth and turned me around in my bed, so I could look at them.
"Girl it's me." Kyden whispered and slowly pulled his hand away from my mouth. He was hovering over me but he wasn't on top of me.
"I didn't kill yo boyfriend, I just scared him. Did you do what I said?" He asked and I nodded. I knew he was talking about losing contact with Jaden.
"Thank you." I whispered and he nodded and got off my bed.
I watched as he walked over to my door locked it and then he looked back at me standing in the door way.
"You know better than to sleep with your door unlock Malia." He said and walked out of my room closing the door behind him.
He was right my dad always told me to lock my door when I'm on my way to bed. We all had keys to each others room so if anyone were to knock at our room door we know it's not one of us. My dad never allowed anybody in our house so if someone did come knocking at our doors, then it was trouble.
One time Monty was knocking on my door but I didn't know it was him. I heard a gunshot and then I heard my brother scream Monty name. I ran to my door and unlocked it to see Monty on the ground holding his shoulder because my dad had shot him in the shoulder. Monty only wanted to see if I could come outside to play basketball with him and Malcom.
Later........ -2:45pm.
I was in the kitchen with Zay and we were doing one of those Instagram challenges. It was called "Mute." I really like the challenge but Zay was being all extra and shit, tryna add his own moves.
His teacher kept coming in the kitchen telling him that he need to finish his work but he just waved her off and kept dancing with me.
"Come on Lili one more time." Zay said restarted the dub smash. I rolled my eyes and got ready to do the dance but Monty and my brother walked into the kitchen.
The dubsmash started and Zay started doing the dance and I joined him. Monty walked over to him and grabbed him by the back of his neck walking his ass out the kitchen. I laughed and grabbed my phone saving the dub smash because it caught all of that.
