Long ago in a town which has long since been forgotten, there was a girl by the name Ember. The people of the town gave her that name for her fiery red eyes.  The people of the town called her a child of fire for, a huge fire brought her to them. Surprisingly the fire had no effect on Ember. The fire had not harmed her in anyway.

The people of the town asked Ember how she came to be there. Ember told them "I am born of fire, it runs through my veins. I can control it and create it".
The people asked Ember to prove her claims. The people walked Ember to a huge open field with nothing but dead grass.

They told Ember to burn down the grass. Ember held out her hands towards the field and told the people "back up unless you want to burn". The people did as they were told. Ember levitated 5 feet off the ground, and fire shot from her hands onto the field. In an instant the field was engulfed in flames.

The people were astonished by this. They had never seen anything like this before. Ember took the fire back and descended back to the ground. The people then truly believed Ember. The people adopted Ember as one of their own.

The people saw Ember as a protector. The people of the town treated Ember like any other normal person. For the first time Ember felt at peace. Ember felt at home in the town. Ember became like family to the town's people.

Ember would play games with the town's children. The children saw Ember like a big sister. Ember was happy there. Ember would help the town's women with their chores. Ember learned to cook, sew, and take care of children.

Ember would help the town's men as well. Ember would levitate and help build things. The men and women of the town in a way fell in love with Ember ( not romantic). Ember was a huge help of the town's people. They were extremely grateful to Ember.

One day a huge fire engulfed the town. It put the town's people in horrible danger. Ember quickly put out the fire. She saved the town and its people. Ember than told the people it was time for her to leave. That her work was at its end.

The town's people begged Ember not to leave. Ember promised to return. And then she left. But she always came to visit the town.

The End.
