Chapter 2: "Got that key to your heart, scrape my knees on the pavement."
*Zions POV* "So where exactly are we going, Z?" Brandon's velvety voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I glanced over at him quickly. "Do you have a place you wanna go, B?" I heard him smack his lips. "First of all, if I had a place in mind, I wouldn't have asked you. And second, you asked me to skip. So you should've had a place." That mouth of his is gonna get him fucked...up. Yeah, fucked up. Totally didn't mean fucked. Yeah. I gave him a side glare and squeezed his hand.
"Brandon, what I tell you about talking to me like that?" I heard him gulp, but he didn't respond. "Oh so now you speechless?" I taunted. "I'm sorryyy but I just wanna know where we're going or if I just skipped school for nothing." I was almost offended by that. "So I'm nothing now?" At this point I was just teasing but seeing him get flustered was adorable. "That's- that's not what I meant and you know it." I smiled and stroke his hand with my thumb.
"Yes, my ever so impatient boyfriend, I do have a place in mind." I looked over to see him softly smiling and looking down.

He loved it when I called him my boyfriend. I mean if I had've waited for two years for someone to first, accept themselves and their feelings, and then learn to love me like I loved them, I'd be pretty damn happy too. "So where are going?" I rolled my eyes. "If I tell you it's a surprise, will you drop it until we get there?" I knew Brandon was a whore for surprises. His eyes lit up more. "Yes!" And he turned around to the front and stayed quiet.
Well now I feel bad because I didn't actually have a place in mind. He looks so excited though so I quickly think of a plan just for us.
"Z, we've been driving forever." I knew he wouldn't remain quiet. That's just B. He loves to talk. "We're actually here." He looked over excitedly and saw nothing but trees on both sides of us and straight road in front of us. "Yeah, I got yo ass now hush because I told you it's a surprise." I chuckled at his annoyed expression. A few minutes later, I pulled up at the beach. It's lame, I know but Brandon loves the beach, we haven't been in a long time because of school, and its all I could think of on short notice. He turned to me with wide eyes. "Caleb Zion Kuwonu, you did NOT."
I smiled and chuckled. "Brandon Michael Lee Arreaga, I did." He leaned over the middle console and kissed me. I rested my right hand on his throat and kissed back eagerly. It almost escalated further but I pulled away because I heard children's laughter, reminding me where we are. "C'mon bumble bee. Time to swim." He looked like he'd rather do something else but this isn't the place, which is why I stopped.
I always keep trunks/ basketball shorts in my car because you never know when you're gonna need to hoop. Ball is life. I handed Brandon a pair and we changed in the car. I don't know how it worked, but it did. We got out hand in hand until Brandon let go and turned around. "Last one to the ocean has to explain to my mom why I'm late getting home!" And he took off. I gave him a head start and slowly started to jog after him. I know he loves his mom but that woman can get scary especially when he's not home on time and hasn't called her.
He obviously got there first and his pace slowed down as he got in the water. He got up to his shoulders which wasn't very far because he's tiny, and turned around to face me. It was getting dark quickly {fuck Daylight Savings Time} so the family's were packing up and leaving. "Come here baby." He beckoned me with his finger. I walked in to where the water met my mid chest and stood in front of Brandon, the love of my life. He looked up at me it sounds so cliche but he stared into my soul and I basically melted right there.
I'm so used to putting up that tough guy who's always smoking act, but it's refreshing when Brandon makes me feel like a girl with a school crush. I reached out and pulled him closer to me. He wrapped his arms around my shoulder as I lifted my hand to caress his face. I leaned in and connected our lips and we stood there, having a full on make out session in the middle of the ocean. It was just us and then some people on the other side of the beach so we were basically alone, or so we thought...
