Chapter 4

Chapter 4: "Til fate brings you home, I'll wait through your phases."

*Flashback from Junior year*

Brandon's POV

We all were having a sleepover at Nick's house. His mom had gone out but would be back sometime during the night so we didn't have complete freedom. We were sitting in a circle and to my left was Zion, Austin, Nick, Edwin, then Jeff on my right. I yawned and slumped over, slightly lying on Zion's shoulder. He tensed up and I quickly moved my head.

"Guys we've been playing games all night, it's 1 A.M., and my mom wants us at least pretending to be sleep when she gets back. I think it's time for lights out." Nick said. Edwin took the love seat. Austin took the big couch. Nick put his sleeping bag in front of Edwin. Jeff took a place farthest away from everyone because he has personal issues with that. Zion and I laid next to each other in the middle of the floor.

*30 minutes later*

Everyone was sleeping but I couldn't help but notice Zions unsteady breathing.
"Z? You up?"

"Yeah. Can't sleep either?"

"Nope. Wanna sit outside?"

He sat up and the sleeping bag rattled loudly. "Shhh. I said let's go outside so we DONT wake them up."

"Sorry, bumble bee."

We got up and walked to the backdoor as quietly as possible.

This was it. I've had a crush on Zion for the past two years and this was the moment I'd tell him. I was old enough now so if he rejected me, I could get over it. Well I could try. "Z, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah what's on your mind?"

"Hypothetically speaking, what if I told you I liked you?"

"Well I'd hypothetically tell you that I lien you too. I'd tell you that I'm sorry I made you wait all this time. I'd say that I'm glad that one of us finally manned up and said something. And then I'd grab you, pull you close, and kiss you until we both can't breathe."

At this point, he was very, very, close to my face. "But that's just hypothetically speaking."

I looked up from his lips and our eyes connected. "In that case, Z, I like you. I like you sooooo much."

He reached out and grasped my hips. He had to bend over a bit because I'm short but it worked. Our lips smashed together and it was the best thing I've ever experienced in life. I let out a low gasp as his tongue slid into my mouth and massaged mine with his. "So hypothetically speaking, Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Fuck a hypothetical. Yes! A million times, yes!" He smirked and picked me up, spinning me around. I laughed loudly. "Shhhh, we don't want to wake them, do we?" Zion said, putting his finger over my lips. I shook my head while I looked up at him. "Mhmm, good boy." I bit my lip. He groaned and threw his head back. "B, if you don't want me to fuck you against this sliding door, you'd stop doing that." I giggled and rested my head on his chest, as he embraced me in his arms. We stood in that position for about 10 minutes, just rocking back and forth and then Nicks mom came home.

She came out where Zion and I were and scared the hell out of me. It's about damn time, huh?" She said with that motherly smile. My eyes went wide. "Uhm-"

"No no it's okay. Secrets safe with me. I won't say anything if you don't want me to."

"Thank you, Mrs. Mara."

"Now that doesn't mean I'm gonna let y'all stand out here. It's 3 am. Y'all need some sleep."

We nodded and walked back in. This time when I laid back down, knowing Zion was now my boyfriend, I was out like a light.
