CHAPTER ONE

*NALA P.O.V*

I sat nervously waiting for Evelyn to start recording.

Earlier that morning my acting agent, Ana had called me saying that the Duffer brothers emailed telling her there was part available for a 14-15 year old girl in season 4 of Stranger things. My mom was a little hesitant about letting me audition at first since  Atlanta is a couple hours away from New York. But she eventually agreed to letting me.

This could be my big break! The beginning to my acting career.

"okay 3..2...1"
"hi, I'm Nala Aladaine. I'm 15 years old. 5'3 and I am audition for the part of Cassandra Valentine.

"okay... Action!"
"hello?? Will? El?? Mom? ANYONE?"
"Number 13.."
"p-papa?"
"you're are finally back."
"LET ME GO! I WANT TO GO HOME!"
"This is your home! The lab has always been your home."

I felt hot tears run down my face as I stared into Evelyn's eyes.

"this is where you grew up before that awful woman took you away."
"MOM SAVED ME!" I screamed between sobs.
"SHE S-SAVED ME.. FROM YOU! YOU TOOK ME FROM HER WHEN I WAS BABY! YOU MADE ME MURDER. YOU MADE ME MURDER INNOCENT PEOPLE F-FOR YOUR LITTLE EXPERIMENT!"
"your mother has turned you soft. I am going to bring the real you back. But for that to happen I need you to do what I say."
"I'll go to hell and back before I do what you say."
"annnd.. Cut!"

Evelyn turned off the camera and plugged it into my computer.

"okayy.. Just gotta upload this, send it to Ana and then wait!" she said cheerfully before frowning.
"you better not forget me when your famous." I giggled slightly before answering her.
"I am not gonna forget you, anyways I'm probably not even gonna get the part."
"what? They'd be crazy not to pick you!"
"I don't know, there are a lot of amazing actors out there."
"yes and you're one of them!"

I smiled at Evelyn, gosh I was lucky to have her she is such an amazing friend. I mean she has been there for me my whole life. She supports me with everything I do. Like this freestyle dance class commercial I was in. It was really bad but she knew I had fun with it so she supported me on it.

*DING* We sprinted over to the computer and sent the video to Ana. She replied with a thanks and said she would get back to me when the Duffers replied.

Me and Eve ran over to my bed and started talking about what would happen if I got the role.
"you better set me up with Finn."
"Eve!!"

The rest of the night was just laughing and watching TV.

TIME SKIP 2 WEEKS

*RING RING*

"Nala! Ana is on the phone!"

I sprinted as fast as I could down the stairs and grabbed the phone out of my moms hand.

"hello!"
"Nala!! Guess what!"
"what??"
"YOU GOT THE PART"
"I BEG YOUR DIDLY DONG PARDON!"
"THE DUFFERS CALLED THEY SAID THEY WANTED YOU TO GO DOWN TO ATLANTA NEXT WEEK!"
"NO DIDLY DONG WAY"
"YES DIDLY DONG WAY"
"BUT I DON'T HAVE ANYWHERE TO STAY"
"THEY SAID MILLIE'S FAMILY OFFERED TO HAVE YOU."
"AHHHHHHHHHHH"

"Nala what is going on?"
"I got accepted for the part in Stranger things, and I need to go down next week to start filming and I can stay with Millie!"
"how long will you be gone?.."
"6-7 months.."
"... Well.. Okay you can stay with Millie. Just facetime me every week okay!!"
"YES THANKS MOM I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!"

"OKAY ANA, TELL THEM I WILL BE THERE!"
