0of . ! I fell back into Undertale (no pun intended) ! So now, in honor of that, I had to make a one-shot of my FAVORITE ship !
Enjoyyyyyyy
Xx xXIt tore her apart.
Chara starred at the mirror, the lifeless body in front of her, made her want to do all sorts of things — cry, hurl, die — but she couldn't. Everyday, she wishes that she could, but she can't.
She turned her head towards the door; the door that held so many memories for her, including her mom — her goat mom, as she'd like to say — her brother. Those were times, where Chara has felt everything was perfect for her.
And oh how she misses them now.
Her red glowing eyes peered into the closet that she always left her clothes in in the past. She could see all of the small green and yellow outfits that she once wore as a child with her brother.
Her red eyes glowing as she looked in the mirror, as she looked back at the person she wished didn't exist.
Chara's eyes were heavy with resentment.
She held the resentment of her brother's death. Though his death was a long time ago, her heart still felt heavy with sorrow. Her brother was someone that she actually cared about — someone that actually cared about her. For once in her dreadful life, someone made her happy. Even just his mere presence — as in, if they were just watching their television together or reading a book silently — made Chara explode with happiness. But now she is filled with the hurt that her brother is no longer able to walk with her, able the smile with her, able to be happy with her.
She held the resentment that she could have saved him. Chara had always felt if they hadn't decided to do what they did, then they both would have been truly alive. Chara may have died, but as she always knew, she'd always come back. Chara wished every day, that the same could happen to her brother. But it never did.
She held the resentment that she could have found a way to not kill them all. That she could have saved them all. She wished that she didn't kill them all — every single timeless — but it brought her too much relief at this point. The anger and hate that sat in her SOUL for so long, took over all that she could have made better in her life. All it did was make her angrier, and feel more hatred in her heart.
She held the resentment that she could have saved herself. If she had just listened to Frisk, she could have saved herself from all of the pain that she went through, from all of the pain that sat in her heart, from all of the pain that sat heavy in her mind. It took over everything. . .
It hurt more than she could have ever imagined. . .
{ . . . }
She finally stepped into the judgement hall, feeling the same emotions rush back to her as she met his face once more.
"You know, Sans," she began, "Do you ever get tired?"
He held the same pitch black eyes as he stared at her, not responding to the question that she just asked him; and although he does not have any ears, she knows he heard her.
"And I don't mean the sleepy kind of tired. Don't you just get tired of the pressure of everything weighing on your shoulders. Don't you ever get tired of the anger from past timelines, that could have continued, that didn't. Don't you ever get tired of seeing them die over and over again. Don't you ever get tired of the sadness when they die. Don't you really?"
His eyes flashed with his one blue flame quickly, but going away as fast as it came, fading into a blue dust in the air.
"Don't I ever get tired of missing my mother. Don't I ever get tired of missing my brother. Don't I ever get tired of seeing the people I love constantly die and know that it was my fault. Don't I ever get tired of missing the happiness that I could have had in my life, as it was ripped away from me, all because they were scared. They were scared, Sans," She slowly — very slowly — took small steps towards him.
