Chase
We were now near the agency. It is located in an old port here on San Venganza. I stopped beside the inspection area with some officers-on-duty. I opened my window side to scan my dog tag for identification. Next, I typed my password for another identification access. The next step was the examination of my iris, it is necessary for further security. The last was the fingerprint analysis. Breaking in the agency was hard unless you're very prepared to die. Many vampires attempted to cross this gate but before they reached the gates, they are instantly vaporized by the officers-on-duty. Our agency is subsidized by the government, so, every equipment here are up to date. Like that huge cannon-like gun over there, it is an equipment which launches a light that is equivalent with the sun's light but needs a few seconds of recharge depending on how high your intensity is. This gate is made from solid silver which also is a great protection from those vampires. The gates opened and some officers greeted me upon my entrance.
"Ma'am, good evening, ma'am." Three officers greeted me with a salute. I nodded back and continued driving to the parking lot of the port. After parking and turning off the engine, I shook Blake lightly to wake him up.
"Whaaaa! Get off me!" He started shouting while trying to get out of the vehicle.
"Whoa! Calm down Mr. Scaredy cat. It's just me. We're here. Get off the car because it's almost dark." I told him. He got off the car while I got off too.
"Uh...Chase, aren't you gonna get the keys out the ignition?" Blake asked.
"Nah...Look around you, pal. All keys are in their ignition. Everyone leaves it there just in case there's an emergency. No one's gonna steal another's car because nobody owns one. Everyone here has the right to choose a car they desire. Feast your eyes, man." I enjoyed watching him looking around with his tiny lips forming an "0". Well, atleast he's enjoying his view.
"Come on now. You don't wanna be late to the general's appointment with you, would you?" I stopped his fantasy.
"I guess not. Come on. Im so excited to check this place out." He replied.
He looks like a little boy entering Disneyland for the first time. Im happy that he likes the place.
"So..where are we heading now?" He asked as we reached the edge of the port.
"There." I pointed him the large ship that accomodates the whole agency.
"That's your agency?!" He screamed.
"Hey, lower your voice Blake. Yes. That's the agency. Now, we must go." I replied.
"Uh...How?" He asked.
Without futher adieu I pushed him off the dock.
"Oops...Haha." I couldn't help myself laughing at him. When he groaned I jumped off the dock also.
"God damn it Chase! Can you please try not to do that again?! It damn hurts!" Yep. He landed on the wooden floor of a motorboat. There are many motorboats available to ride on. The are even a couple of yachts and icebreaker ships which are reserved during the winter. The lighthouse is not far from here. Blake massaged his head lightly.
"Don't worry, man. You'll be fine." I told him.
"I'll be fine?! Really, Chase?! You just pushed me off the dock! It damn hurts! It's not okay! God! What kind of woman are you? Apologize! Now!" He was full of rage. I just let loose a smile and turned on the engine.
"Chase! Apologize." He repeated.
"Hold on tight to something." I told him. He just gave me a puzzled look. I switched gears and the engine roared to life running in a fast pace, cutting the water where it passes. Blake nearly fell off the boat but luckily he grabbed a rope just in time. I just laughed at him. Silly me.
"Oops...Haha. Told 'ya to grab something." I gave him a devilish smirk.
"Damn you Chase!" I just laughed and continued driving the motorboat.
The trip was silent because Blake would not talk to me.
"Come on now Mr. silent-because-he's-angry, get off the boat because we're here." He obeyed but still refused to talk. I smiled foolishly behind his back and pretended a very serious face when he takes a glance on me every once in a while.
"Chase! You're back! So how was the mission?" Therese asked me. She's a fellow agent and a master of weapons ammunition. She gave me a warm hug as a sign of her welcoming me back.
"Well, as you can see, Therese, I'm with Mr. Blake Anderson so you can say that the mission's a success. It's nice to be back. " I replied.
"Of course! Oh yeah,by the way, the General's expecting the both of you. He's at his office." He patted my shoulders and proceeded to Blake. She offered a hand and Blake shook her hand.
"Welcome to SouthEast N.A.V.S Blake. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you need my help, I'll beat at the armory. Don't be shy, ok?" She smiled at Blake.
"Thank you, ma'am." Blake replied.
"Uh, no need for further formalities Blake. Kung pormalidad lang naman ang pagbabasihan, si Chase ang tawagin mong ma' am dahil mas mataas ang ranggo niya kaysa sa'kin. I have to go guys, marami pa kasi akong gagawin. Bye!" Then the left us.
"Follow me Blake if you don't want to get lost." He followed but still haven't utter a word. We went in the elevator then I pressed the number three button where the General's office is located. We stopped in front of a huge metal door. I scanned my dog tag necklace and my fingerprint on the scanner beside the door. The doors opened revealing a huge screen monitor with several images of the different areas of the ship. I stood straight and saluted the General.
"Sir, good evening, Sir! Agent Lambert reporting upon the success of the mission, Sir." I told him while still maintaining the salute. He saluted back then I changed to an "at ease" position.
''Ah, there you are Chase. Welcome back! Congratulations on your mission. Now, may you leave Blake and I to talk?" He requested me.
"Sir yes sir!" Then I exited the office and headed back to my own quaters.
