Twilight 1 ❤ Survival At It's Finest

Day 1

I opened my eyes but it takes a while for them to adjust to the light. I blinked multiple times to speed up the process.  Finally, my eyes adjusted and I look around.

"Where am I?" I stand on my feet but I tumbled forward since I'm not used to the feeling. I immediately grabbed onto the fallen tree that stood beside me. It feels all mushy and gross.

I sat back down on the ground. "Just  great. I'm lost."

I take a look around my surroundings. There's trees for miles. Tall, big, greeny, leafy trees. Most of them looked identical while the others just seemed out of place. The ground was covered with grass, flowers, wild herds, and huge patches of pure black soil.

"I see. I'm in a forest. Interesting." I sigh as I stand back up. I hold onto the fallen tree again. My feet felt tingly but after a few seconds I was able to stand back on my feet.

I sigh while stretching out my sore muscles. "Here we go!" I clap my hands as I start to walk straight ahead.

I look down at my bare feet. Really? Couldn't send me with at least a nice pair of Nike or something El?

I continue my journey for a couple of minutes. Maybe five or twenty? I honestly don't know since I have a horrible sense of time.

Time was always exaggerated to me since I was small. Being a latina was tiring. They would say its already ten something while it's like four in the morning. The sun wasn't even up for crying out loud! Our roaster didn't even make a sound as yet.

A twig snapped behind me and I quickly spin around on guard. The bushes move around.

Here we go. That moment in the anime when the protagonist reincarnates into a different world and fights off a monster  discovering the magnitude of ones power or strength. What type of monster will it be?  Will I have an epic skill? So many questions but not enough time.

The bushes moved some more and something jumps out. I throw a few punches while closing my eyes. I peel open on eye and take a peek. Right in front of me is a rabbit. A plain, regular looking rabbit. So much disappointment in so little time.

I laugh to myself. "That was embarrassing. Hope no one saw that." I looked around to make sure no one saw.

I whistled as I turned around ignoring the rabbit and continue walking straight ahead. After maybe a few hours of walking in the same direction I sat down on a boulder. "I'm so tired!"

My tummy growls loudly. I pat my flat stomach. "I'm hungry too pal. You and me. You and me." I look around for something to eat.

I see some fruit scattered on the forest floor a few feet away from me. I quickly ran towards it. "FOOD!"

I fall to my knees and start to devour them. After a few minutes of eating some apples and oranges I decided to take a few for my journey.

I ripped off a piece of fabric from my night gown so that I can put the fruits in. I grabbed a stick off the ground and tied the bunch of fruits onto it.

"Hobo style!" I smile at my accomplishment for the day.

Tomorrow I'm going to look for some source of water. Now let's just find a place to sleep for the night.
