chapter 4

A week passed since Andy and Robert started to see each other. It's also been a week since Ripley was amitted to the hospital and later died from the poison in his blood. Everyone dealt with their grief differently and the funeral was yesturday. Andy knew Robert was hurting but couldn't comfort him the way she wanted to because no one knew about them. After the funeral we all went out for drinks including some of the police officers Ryan works with. I will admit it was werid seeing Robert and Ryan talking, but seemed that they are on good terms now. It was getting late so Maya and I headed home to find Vic. I texted Robert that I was leaving before walking home. Later that night I laid awake thinking about Robert and if he was ok. I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text. "Hi, how are you?"  Right a way he called me and I answered trying to be quite because Maya was right down the hall.
"Hi." I said answering the phone. "Hey." He answered "how are you, I'm sorry I couldn't be with you more today but everyone was there." "I know. We need to tell HR. I hate hiding with you Andrea. I don't want to hide our relationship. Even if that means I lose my job or have to transfer." "Robert, I don't want you to lose your job. We all need you here with us." "Well we need to do something " "before you do anything can I please tell Maya? She is my best friend and I knew how much I was hurt that she didn't tell me about Jack. "  "fine, I won't tell HR till you tell Maya." "Thank you" "But you have to tell her Andy. I know how you to are." "I will I promise" "alright. Go get some sleep. We have work in the morning." "Goodnight"
I knew I needed to tell Maya but didn't know how she would react. I walked out of my room down the hall and knocked on her door and asked her if she was awake, she said yes and I walked in. "I need to tell you something but you can't say a word to anyone. Promise me you won't tell." "Yes I promise tell me." "I'm dating Sullivan." "Yes I knew it I'm so happy for you." Then we both hugged then went to bed cause we had to work early the next morning.
