Chloe's POV

I haven't seen Elias since lunch and I have anxiety. Everything made sense now. I could barely recognize him.

He use to have cute glasses and his hair was always flat on his face. He was just a cute little nerd, but now he was hot.

As I'm thinking about him, I run into someone.

"Oh, sorry." I say backing up. I look at their face and a big black bruise is on their eye.

"It's fine, sunshine." 

I become speechless. "Y-You." I stutter.

"My name is Austin, not 'you', sunshine." He says with a faint smile.

"Uhm, sorry about that black eye." I say looking at the floor.

"It's not your fault. Even though Teddy is a bitch, I deserved it. I was drunk and bothered an innocent girl."

"Ah! My favorite person!" A voice says, sarcastically.

I turn around and Teddy has a smile plastered on her face. Austin rolls his eyes, and walks past.

Teddy grabs his arm and whispers something I barely manage to hear.

"Do what you did at the party again, and you'll have even more marks."

She lets go of his arm and smiles again.

Austin glares at her and leaves.

"You're so vicious." I say with a laugh.

She shrugs. "It's my specialty." I laugh and we walk to the next period.

"Can I ask you something?" 

She nods. "Sure,  anything."

"How long have you and Elias been..." She looks at me weird.

"What are you talking about?" She asks innocently.

"I already know, don't pretend."

She sighs. "They told you didn't they?" I realize she's talking about Kylie and everyone else.

"What? No! I saw you guys at the party." Her faces turns red. 

"Uhm... awkward."

"Sorry, never mind."

I get to my class and slip inside.

I remember I have this class with Elias.

Ughh.

 I see him sitting by the window.

I decide to sit somewhere far away and out of his vision.

He doesn't seem to notice me. Phew.

"Chloe!" Mrs. Newman exclaims.

Elias' eyes flash towards me and he looks away.

"Yes?" I ask awkwardly.

"I have a seat for you now." She says excitedly.

Please be a good seat, please be a good seat-

"It's right behind Elias, actually."

I groan.

"Do you have a problem?"

I take a deep breath. "Nope."

I sit behind him and I hear him scoff. I put my head down.
