James Rampling's POV~

In my five star hotel bedroom my thoughts bombarded me with opposite opinions.

I want to see Tandy. Oh God, I want her. But then again, my mouth curled in a sneer, she had abandoned me hadn't she? After all SHE never wrote to me. SHE never thought about him. When was the last time she thought about him?

'Yeah, that's my point' a small voice piped up in his head. 'I don't think she really cared for you James. She deserves to be in pain.'

James smiled. He had a perfect plan. He had heard Tandy had stopped taking her 'vitamins' or rather, the drugs her parents had been feeding her. This means without NUM she would feel feelings. And they would be even more intense to compensate for all of those emotionless years.

Yes, he, James Rampling, would break the famous Tandoori Angel. He just needed to find out more about her schedule. Who she talked to, where she went to school, when she was alone...

He amused himself with these thoughts for a while longer before drifting off to sleep with thoughts about how to break his Angel.

Tandy Angel's POV~

The sun was streaming through my bedroom windows effectively waking me up. Squinting against the bright rays I yawned massively and rolled over to try and get some more sleep. Unfortunately this was not possible because in another few minutes Jacob was rapping on her door lightly.

"Tandy, you're supposed to be responsible, get up, get dressed, and get your butt downstairs before breakfast gets cold," Jacob calling lovingly. Yeah right, lovingly. As a commando and fighter Jacob was almost never loving. He was caring, he was the new and better father like figure in our life.

Pulling myself out of my musings I walked over to my dresser and sifted through my clothes. My fingers lingered on the silk shirt that was once my mothers. Hardly inappropriate, but also very valuable. I sighed, even though Maud was tough... I wanted her back.

I blinked suddenly. 'Where the hell did that come from? Tandy, c'mon, you're supposed to be invincible, always in the present. Don't dwell in the past, in the ' I wish's.'

Making a final decision I put on a light grey skirt which gracefully skimmed my calves, a dark blue blouse and some black flats. Yanking my brush through my hair I stared into the mirror. They say vanity is a sin but I view it as a pleasure and a right. I'm not vain, but I would like to be assured I look presentable before I go out in public.

"Tandoori Angel!" Jacob screamed from downstairs. "You get down here RIGHT. NOW!"

I bolted out of my room and fairly flew down the flights of stairs to the dining room. A stack of pancakes and a platter full of sausage links sat in the middle of the table. My brothers were already stuffing their faces, not even bothering to look up and say hi.

I muttered "good morning Jacob, Matty, Harry, Hugo..." Sat down and proceeded to fill my plate. As I ate, I contemplated what my brothers were wearing. Harry had decided on a pastel orange button down with khakis and loafers, Hugo had gone for the t-shirt and jeans looks with Vans, and Matty was wearing his usual black attire.

"You look... Nice," Harry ventured.

"Yeah?" I replied. Harry wasn't one for compliments or giving them out.

"Tandy, it is 'yes' or 'really, do you think so' not 'yeah'," Jacob corrected me.

I rolled my eyes, "do you really think so, dearest brother?" I smirked at the end.

Harry shrugged and muttered, "I just hope the boys won't be all over you at school."

My jaw dropped, me? Someone who guys like? Wow, Harry must be high or something. Shutting my mouth I continued to glare at him. He met my stare and then became engrossed in his remaining bite of sausage.

I stood up, raced upstairs to my bedroom, gathered my books and pencils and school supplies and then headed back downstairs. My brother's had just finished eating and I was tapping my foot impatiently while they gathered their possessions.

"Have a nice day!" Jacob said cheerfully as we trotted out the door.

"Yeah right," Hugo muttered. We looked at him and just to started to laugh. Hugo was very smart, he just didn't choose to apply his brains to his school work.

Matty kept on walking on when as soon as we neared our building.

"Cya around," we chorused. Matty smiled, waved, and loped off down the road.

The facade of the Academy of Angell was neat and modern. White bricks gleamed in the early morning light and the tasteful grey shutters gave it some contrast.

'It almost looks like a place where an angel would live' I mused to myself.

Students were pouring into the building via the french sliding doors. We gave a nod to each other and then determinedly marched through the doors.

We headed for the administrators office and picked up our schedules. Harry and I had identical schedules while Hugo had one for fifth grade. Wishing Hugo good luck, we started heading out our classes. English was first and it was located in a room with neat lines and clean coloured, yet the brightly coloured desks and tables seemed so out of place.

I sat down at a purple desk and rifled through my backpack for my English textbook. Finding it, I placed it on my desk along with a notebook and pen.

The bell range, class started and was interrupted almost immediately by a handsome boy walking into the room. His slightly curly but tasteful brown hair swept across his forehead dramatically, his red button down was neatly pressed and his jeans were clean with no rips. His black Vans were also neatly brushed. In short, he was dressed perfectly to fit the title of "sexy guy in school."

"Pardon me," he said respectfully. His eyes swept the room and found mine. His gaze was so intense, I felt as though I was pinned to my chair. "Hello, I am James Rampling, please excuse my interruption." With that, he started to walk over to me and slide into the seat next to me. "Nice to see you again Tandy," he said with a smile.
