Ugh, sakit ng ulo ko. My head was pounding as I slowly woke up. I squinted my eyes, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling above me. The scent of... perfume? And a soft warmth beside me. I froze, my heart racing as I turned to face the person lying next to me.

Oh my God. What the hell happened last night?

The girl beside me had long, dark hair sprawled across the pillow, a body that looked too perfect for comfort, and... Wait. Who is she?

I rubbed my temples, trying to piece everything together. Last night was a blur, too much alcohol, too much of something I didn't really want to remember. Slowly, I moved to sit up, careful not to wake her. I could feel the remnants of guilt creeping in.

Fuck, what did I do?

I grabbed my clothes quickly, trying to be as silent as possible. My brain was screaming at me to just leave before she wakes up. I don't even know her name. Damn, this was the last thing I needed.

I pulled on my shirt and slid into my jeans, not bothering to check if she stirred. I wanted out. As fast as I could.

When I stepped into the hallway, the fresh air hit me like a wave. I needed coffee. I needed something to clear my head. I need a fucking miracle.

I made my way to the elevator, praying for some peace. But as soon as the doors opened, I stopped in my tracks.

Amara.

My stomach did a flip when I saw her standing there, looking like she owned the entire building. She was dressed in a sharp, tailored suit, her posture exuding all the boss energy in the world. I couldn't help but feel a wave of tension flood over me as her eyes met mine.

"Well, well," she started, voice dripping with sarcasm and amusement. "Look who decided to show up."

Her smile was the definition of smug. And she knew it.

Shit, why is she here?

I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes, but I couldn't ignore the pull I felt every time she looked at me. The woman was fucking magnetic. Even in this situation, where I was still trying to figure out what the hell I'd done the night before, I couldn't help but notice how goddamn beautiful she was.

I straightened my back, trying to mask the slight nervousness that crept up my spine. "What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice a bit harsher than I meant it to be. I hated how unsure I sounded.

Amara's lips curled into a half-smirk as she crossed her arms, her eyes scanning me up and down. "I could ask you the same thing," she said, her tone dripping with that undeniable arrogance. "But... I already know." Her eyes glinted. "Having fun last night, Gray?"

My stomach dropped. Damn, she saw me?

"Why? You stalking me now?" I shot back, trying to hide the unease in my chest. I wasn't used to people catching me off guard like this.

She laughed lightly, a sound that felt too good for my ears. "Please," she said, taking a slow step closer, her heels clicking on the floor with every step. "I just know how you work. You like to keep things... interesting. But you're not fooling anyone, okay?" She leaned in, close enough that I could feel her presence, intoxicating and powerful. "I saw you last night. And trust me, I know."

I could feel my heart rate picking up. How the hell does she do that?

I pushed back the thoughts that threatened to overwhelm me and put on a confident mask. "What, you think you know everything about me now?"
