We were so high up, I couldn't see anything anymore. Just open sky's and clouds below us. Now, it was beautiful. I felt so free while up there. I didn't know what was next or what my life had in store, but I felt like I could do anything. I don't know how far up we were or how much higher we needed to be, but it seemed high enough. As we kept flying, Ronda seemed to be on the phone. She looked like she was talking to herself, but that couldn't have been it.

"Yes. We are on our way. We're safe." She said to herself. Maybe she had a pair of AirPods or something that I couldn't see. She waited a couple moments before saying, "Chad, Olivia is perfectly fine. We will make it to Cindi and the rest Klyptropis. Just worry about yourself." She said. Another moment. "Goodbye, your highness. I shall see you back home." Now, this conversation confused me. Chad was my dad. So, who was Cindi? Why did Ronda call him 'your highness'?

After she had appeared to have hung up (no idea), she pushed a blue button that looked slightly out of place and it revealed a whole new set of buttons, levers and dashboards. It took the place of all the normal buttons and steering wheel. It almost looked like one of those control panels on space ships you see in stuff like Star Wars or something like that. I looked outside, and from what I could see, the car didn't look so much like a car anymore. It looked like a futuristic vehicle. More advanced than I had ever seen in my life. It was strange.

"We are about to make a jump." Ronda said as if I was supposed to know what that meant. "I hope you didn't have to big of a lunch." I just nodded in response. I suppose a jump is like a leap type thing that they do in Star Wars. Where they jump into hyperspace and come out in another galaxy. Honestly, it could be anything. This whole thing is probably a dream. I shouldn't feed into it. Ronda pushes a few buttons and pulled a few levers and all of a sudden, we were somewhere in the middle of space. Does space have a middle? Well, we were in somewhere in space. I'll admit, it is beautiful up there. All the stars and planets surrounding you. The beautiful colors. It looked amazing. But, it felt so lonely. Like I was lost with no one around. It was too quiet and there wasn't enough movement.

"We're not much further now. Maybe 5 ecklars." Ronda said.

"Ecklars?" I asked.

"I suppose they're kind of close to a minute. Little shorter. Maybe 50 seconds in human time is one ecklar. So, this is like 4-4 and a half minutes." She explained. If this is where I was from, I was going to need to learn a lot.

A few minu- err, ecklars later, I saw a planet that looked like it was Earth about a million years older. After humans and pollution overcame it. It was very sad.

"That's Dolor. It is basically a sadder Earth. It can no longer support life, although it did eons ago." She said as though reading my mind. It had no blue water. The water was dark like mud and the atmosphere was so smoky and dirty, it looked like it was the inside of a dirty fish tank. If this is what the planet I grew up on is going to be, I need to do something. It would be sad if it became like that.

"Our planet is there. Klyptropis." Ronda pointed straight ahead and there lay the most perfect planet. This looked like a happier and brighter Earth. The water seemed nice and clean, the land was a brilliant green, and the atmosphere looked like it had never been polluted. In other words, it was the perfect world.

"That's... that's where I'm from? You... you mean I belong to a world like this?" I asked. It seemed too perfect. A world that no human would believe existed. There was no way I'm from here.

"Yes. This is where you belong. Did you ever feel really connected to Earth?" Ronda asked. Now that she said it, I realized I never fit in. My mom left when I was a baby (well I guess that's not exactly the case), I've always been smarter than everyone but didn't like to show it, I never had friends other than Kristi, and every time I try a sport or something, I fail miserably. I've always been weird. But, I do love being apart of things. Like clubs or sport teams. I just am never accepted. For instance, I've been playing volleyball for about two years. I practice all the time and seek all kinds of help. This year, when I thought I could finally make a team, I tried out for four different teams. I got rejected four times. I've never fit in. To be told I have a place I belong is almost to good to be true.

"Entering the atmosphere in 10, 9..." Ronda said. "3,2,1." We entered the atmosphere with an impossible speed and in a matter of seconds, we were landing in a landing zone. I looked around as we were coming in. I had expected it to be more advanced than Earth, but this was crazy! Flying cars, super high tech buildings in the town, and an amazing palace at the top of a hill at the far end of the city. Inside the city, people were bustling around getting to where they were going and doing what they needed to do. It was pretty much the New York or Tokyo of Klyptropis. It was huge! The buildings were so high, we almost crashed into some of them! If this was a dream, I never wanted to wake up.

"This is the capital of Klyptropis, Cylori (sie-lor-ie). It is the largest city on the planet and is where all major business headquarters are located. It is also where the queen lives and the king will return soon." Ronda said. We landed as she said it and got out of the car onto a runway that looks exactly like an airport. I imagine they don't need airplanes here. We started walking towards a large building next to the runway. Wherever we were, it was right outside the city, so many other cars were flying in and out. It was so busy. I had never been to a large city like New York, Boston, or even Austin or Houston which were in my home state, but I imagine that it looks something similar to this, just with less advanced technology and meaner people.

As we were walking, everyone waved and smiled. There were people having conversations with smiles on their faces. It was basically the perfect Earth. Once we got to said building, Ronda went up to one of the people who seemed to be like one of those people who drives important people places. Obviously, I've never had one being in the financial situation I.

"Hello Fred! Long time no see! How have you been?" Ronda said sweetly.

"I could be better, Ronda, but of course, we're all struggling in these tough time. I suppose I should be happy that I'm alive right now." The guy 'Fred' said in an unexpected squeaky voice. He was intimidating just by looking at him. Tall, dark brown eyes, they were almost black, and jet black hair that was cut military style. Everything about him screamed 'Stay back, or I'll cut your head off'. He also wore a dark, formal suit, and some kind of earpiece making him look like a secret CIA spy. He turned to me and his features softened as he smiled.

"And this must be Olivia. We have been expecting you for quite some time, now. You look so much like your mother. Except for your eyes, you have those from your father." He said calmly, reaching out his hand for me to shake, which I did. "Where is Ian anyways?"

"Fred! I told you what the plan was. Do you seriously not remember?" Ronda snapped

"Ah, he's continuing his research, correct? Must have slipped my mind." Ronda just shook her head in disbelief. Ronda was in her mid thirties with auburn hair and hazel eyes. She was pretty, I guess and I could sense that Fred thought so, too.

"How is Esperanza? You know, with the whole being away from her family thing." Ronda asked. Who is Esperanza? I thought

Fred sighed, "She handled it surprisingly well. Of course, she'll be overjoyed to have her daughter back after so many years." He said stealing a glance at me. Wait. Daughter coming back? Away from her family?...

"Is Esperanza my mother?" I asked. Had I finally found the person who had left a hole in my heart?

Hey! Sorry it's been sooooo long. It's been over a month! Sorry, to leave this midway through the chapter, but I wanted to update by the end of today, and I really need to sleep. Also, I think that earlier on in the story, I described Ronda as an old lady, so I'm going to go back and fix that eventually. Okay, thanks guys! Bye!
